MexFemme that question has been asked tons of times before, if you care to read back some pages or even some threads, you'll see that some people took that test and of those, some got the GC and some didn't. So if you had to take it, things could go either way... best of luck though!

Psych test

LOL after joining the first question we kept asking was, DID THAT TEST COUNT ? and the same answer was NO lol ... That said we have access to the results
And surprisingly enough to become a senior , you do another more advance test of the kind !

All the best and Good luck.

Jozi-boy26

Jozi-boy26: "To everyone that has any family members or friends flying with us - once you have applied through the website, you will receive a ref nr (this code allows you to go back and change/check something). You can then give that nr to the person and there is a form they can fill out with your ref nr to "nominate" you to the company. It has been said that it could give you a good chance aswel."

Can you, or anyone else who also knows about this, explain more about this? I asked a friend who has been in EK for a few months but he doesnt seem to know anything about this "nominations", can you please give me a more detailed explanation so i can tell him exactly what to do. I have been reading this forum for a while and this is the first time i read about this, so thats why im asking. Has anyone tried this?? Maybe this nomination wont get anyone to Dubai by itself, but anything that helps to get you noticed by the recuiters is welcomed.

Thanks in advance for your answers!

Candidate Portal

Hello guys. I have a question. In the GC the recruiter mentioned me about sending an email and then logging into a candidate portal in order to upload documents and so on. But so far I havent received any email of the kind. Do you know when we receive that email so that we can start the process? Thank you

Re:Mimi

Hi there!
Well, if you have a friend that has been called, that does not mean anything really... I have friends that got their GC, two weeks after their final interview, and I still haven't heard from them, and my status did not change. I think it is related to what I wrote on my application, that I would be available starting in April... So, I think it is tooo early to despair
Good luck!!!

Question

Hello everyone!
I'd like to know if any of you knows someone who works for Emirates, but doesn't reach 2,12m.
I want to attend in an Open Day soon but unfortunately I can only reach 2,09m...

Assessment day Dubai

Hi,
I was invited to an AD in Dubai and I RSVP'd yes but then realized I couldn't make it and sent them an email saying it was pretty much impossible for me to make it on that day. They came back and invited me to the next one, which hasn't happened yet, but I still can't make that one. So I emailed back saying I was really sorry, but could they possible please offer me a third date... I didn't hear back and now I just checked my status online and it said Invited, failed to attend!!! I let them know before it happened and they got back to me offering me another date... They knew I couldn't go.
What must I do? It's taken my application process back to 88%!

CarolPassos they are just 3 cms!! Try taking some power stretching classes, or yoga as someone said up there. Practise reaching everyday and maybe you can get to the 212cms!
I'm 1.60 mts tall and fortunately I can reach 212cms standing in tiptoes, and leaning on the wall really helps. Oh, and I do it with one hand at a time to stretch every morning or afternoon. Bear in mind that when we wake up in the morning we're usually 1 cm taller than at night because our spine has rested and expanded when sleeping. (Sleep well too!)
EK is usually strict with this requirement as it is for safety reasons so if even trying all these tricks doesn't help, I'm sorry but your chances are slim.... however I wish you best of luck!!!

Do you know anything about wife sponsoring husband visa? It is written that it is vey diffucult if you are not a nurse, doctor or a teacher for sponsoring husband visa.

joining end of july

Hi guys!
I fly out from Australia end of july, and just wondering if anyone else has a Joining date 25JUL or if there are any of the Hobart interview people on here?
Does anyone have some suggestions on what we should be taking with us, i have no idea what to pack for, obviously hot weather, but i presume we visit cold climates and need some warmer clothes for those locations.
Can anyone who has recently joined give some advice on what to bring and essentials we shouldn't forget that perhaps you did and regret?
Cheers!

Quick question everybody...i'm going for the Open Day in August (Brisbane), currently filling out the application. I'm currently studying at University (History and German) in my second year am just wondering what I should do about this in my application and during the Open Day? If I'm accepted I won't be continuing with my studies (for the time being anyway). I'm concerned that Emirates will think I just want the job as a gap year thing, which isn't my intention, I'd really like to continue with the airline industry if accepted. I obviously don't want to lie on my application and during the open day...what's the best way to go about it? Thanks

studies on hold ?

I would strongly recommend that you finish your study, I don't think Emirates takes in the fact that you are studying or not, some people come to Dubai thinking it's gonna last a contract and leave before 6 months and others stay for ever ! regardless of what plans they had on hold back home. Keep in mind it's an addictive lifestyle that of a cabin crew (international) and you do become lazy, that said, a few friends have gotten their masters in various fields doing online courses , anything is possible as long as your goals are clear and focussed !

Good Luck
