Awesome!

Are you going to Melbourne for 5 days as well? When did you find out if you passed medical and security? Because we were offered positions subject to those...

Hey Yea we will be going to Melbourne. As for the security and medical checks we havent heard back about the outcome but must have passed them or im pretty sure they would have said something about it by now so im sure you will be fine i guess you will only hear back if you didnt pass them so no news is good news!

Active Hold

Hi Rubyslippers
Active hold is standard practice in aviation. It happens when they have more suitable applicants than needed. So congrats, you are in -just not straight away. It happens with Air NZ and other airlines to cabin crew and pilots.
Keep updating them with info and make sure you stay in contact with them. Anything can change very quickly! Good luck

Ground course

Hi all... just some questions to those already on the gc. Firstly, how is it going? all good I hope.
I'm starting in chc on 27th and was wanting to know a it about the Melbourne training. Is it the Holiday Inn (airport) that we are put up at? I assume we have to pay for all meals? Is transport provided to training facility? what sort of pay do we get whislt in Mel? Is it the training wage only for the hours we are actually training? Thanks... just trying to sort out the finances!
Any additional info would be appreciated

Hi There

Just saw your post, you have to go onto there web site and apply through there, however at the moment i think they are not doing any recuriting at this time. They did it all a few months ago.
I applied in April and got through, However i was put on " active Hold "
Once i heard that Qantas were advertising i applied for them and have been flying with them for over a month, they are awesome !!!!!
It is all a very lengthy process, But all good once u get in.
Good luck and keep trying. Don't give up

Thanks for your info! are you flying domestic or international? How many hours a month do you usually fly? What is the salery like? I heard it was only like $29k or something? I have flown before and i LOVE the job (most of the time!) but i dont think i could survive on such a small salary...

JQ dont pay all their NZ employees much. Look into the likes of Pacific Blue if you are after more than $40k. They seem to be expanding..

JetStar Walk-in Interview in Singapore

JetStar is holding an interview in Singapore on 31st August 09.

Anyone please clear my queries.

What can I expect from the interview?

How long do they last?

What do I need to bring along?

-Thanks.

Eye sight

Hi All,

After reading a few post I am now wondering if airlines do actually hire cc with bad eye sight?? I wear contact lenses and I don't feel that this would effect my ability to do the job but how do they view it?? Is there a limit to how short sighted you can be??

If any one knows I would really appreciate the info!

Jetstar Cabin Crew at Darwin base recrutment 2009

Has anyone applied for Jetstar Cabin Crew at Darwin base?
I have also applied for it but one of my friend who works as a cabin crew in Sydney base asked her Sydney base manager about this recrutment for me and the manager said to my friend that this interview might have been taken place already...
However I haven't got back abything from Jetstar...
Has anyone been to the interview for this position?

I have applied for it but I havent got a reply from them yet...It has been for 2 weeks...I am worried about it right now.

When and where is this Qantas Open Day in September? Do they have open days often? Does Jetstar? What happens at them?

Hi

I don't think QF has open days to have an interview...
QF Cabin Crew Australia Pty Ltd hasn't looked for new crews (Long haul)since Jan 2008, That's what I remember...
If you are interested to be an QF Cabin Crew, Visit this web site QF Cabin Crew Australia Pty Limited Recruitment: Attention
and keep eyes on this web site. At the moment they are just accepting interests...

Is anyone able to shed some more light on JQ AKL base crew pay? I'm keen to apply next time they open applications up. How does it compare to ZEAL320?

Ideal I'd love on a job at NZ Domestic Mainline, troughs guys get paid so well. They get $33 just to buy there lunch

We all have to start some where i suppose
