Thanks for your help guys, I have email them about the RSA will post the response
Do do wonder what that would think about someone that wanted to change from IT to being a cabin crew. Although it is worth a pay cut for a job where you get to fly all day long

Hi
I have not heard from JQ yet...
I asked one of the JQ HR members regarding to my application about 2 weeks ago and this HR officer said to me that my application is still pending at this stage. It has been for 2 weeks ...I havent' heard anything from them at all.
I am really wondering what's going on.
One of the guys on this web site who attend the same interview in Cairns said that he recieved a no mail from JQ last thursday.
Do they just forget to send a no mail to me??
Even they say yes to me, It's not enough time to do Medical, Asic and moving to Cairns because the school will start on 23rd of Nov and it is less than 4 weeks...
Should I ask JQ again??

Hiya, I have seen that JetStar are accepting interest...what does this mean? Do they keep these on file then when they are recruiting send an email?
I have recently applied to virgin blue but would also like to register my interest with Jetstar but I am worried as the personal details forms seem like they are from the same website and Im scared that Virgin Blue would be able to cross check my name or something and see that I am also applying to Jetstar which may put them off.

Thank you for that...I just went to register my interest but as i do not have the first aid yet it said my application would be put on hold till I had it so I didnt submit. Annoying because i cannot do these courses till I am back in Aus which wont be for a few months. Im not sure if they would accept a UK equivelent.
Good luck with the job Ruby

hi everyone,
just wondering if anyone knows of any airlines recruiting or accepting interest for a brisbane basing, or are expected to be in the forseeable future. It seems to be mostly sydney and perth, with some melbourne and cairns, but i would love to remain in Brissy.
Any ideas?

Hi Rubyslippers
At the Jetstar Assessment Day on 11 November, they indicated that there will be a ground school sometime in early 2010. I guess we can only wait and see what happens next.

Hi glitzy-luc
Why don't you apply for it?? It's not problem that you dont have a first aid What you have to do is to book a first aid course and show your receipt at the assesment day if you are invited.
and AVV(Airport three letter code) is Avalon Airport in Geelong. Jetstar has two airport to operate flight in Victoria. BNE/OOL is Brisbane airport and Coolangatta Airport(Gold Coast).
Better to know some airport codes in Australia as you will be tested on the assesment day.

Hiya Next step. Thanks for your repy
I had a feeling the OOL would hae been for coolangatta but wasnt sure!
I had another look on the applcation form and it asks you if you have a first aid, really you have to click yes becase if you click no, a message comes on the screen saying your application will be put on hold till you have it. But when you clik yes you have to give the awarding body and the date completed...it doesnt mention anything about just having it booked like the VB recruitment application does

Hi glitzy-luc,
I am not 100% sure that you have to click "yes" on your app form but you can get some information by reading "FAQ" tab on the job description page which is on top right. Also "Team Jetstar Assessment Day" tab will help you I think
I haven't got a First Aid cert yet either so I am going to take a course when they actually started recruiting in SYD or BNE. By the way, I will not be able to move to MEL due to family matters... my choices are SYD or BNE at the moment so it depends when and where they starts recruiting. That's why I had to give up this time
I've learnt some oz airport/city codes that were not familiar to me but didn't take long because not too many codes in oz. I used to remember heaps of codes around the world when I was working for some airline/tourism industries. I am sure you can remember them easily too
It also would be better to know the routes etc before you attend an AD. Their website is very helpful anyway.
All the best and pls keep me posted
