Not clever enough with my machine, I find. Will try upstairs. Lovely image, I can smell the Avtur.

Still OH, or will you call this one?

dook 18th Aug 2019 21:16

How did you save the Gutersloh one into your album ?

I don't think I'll call, even though I have eight ready.

JENKINS 18th Aug 2019 21:34

I hadn't, but had intended. I think a session of study upstairs tomorrow will help, after I have done the ironing. Goodnight to all.

FUNAFUTI IT IS

Picture taken last Saturday as the last of the PIF Leaders departed.

Interesting week with a usually very quiet runway in use up to 10 times a day. Hercs landing, then backing up to the apron, engines turning throughout the turnaround and then backing back to the threshold for departure. The apron is within the runway strip so the ATR in shot was an obstruction for both the RAAF VIP jet and a C130 movement just before it, as well as the Air Kiribati Dash 8. Here's another shot of the runway, taken on Friday during lunch at a local restaurant. Conversation was a little difficult with the engine noise throughout the meal.

Credit must go the the RAAF Movements team who managed the non commercial traffic throughout the week.
