Great challenge asw22. Without the railway curve, I wouldn’t have found it. I have nothing to post, so nvubu has control. |
No, tis Open House - I was just trying to name the three airfields - and yes I got the locations from here

A logical shot but I'm afraid not.

I might have suggested RNAS Culdrose, but the tower as far I can recall is too small. The airfield looks more civilian to me.
I flew with a chap at Northolt on 32 Sqn who at times flew the`Stringbag`. |
Military airfield but not Culdrose.

Colour scheme from the 1970/80s?

Lord Howe Island?
OH if correct. |
Are we in India by any chance ?
|
Flap 40 nails it again I was considering it for CGB but it came up on all “cow” searches. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....d56f7ab32.jpeg OH called |
With no cows in your image I had no way of getting it.
|
Thread drift, wrt Lord Howe Island.
If you have not read "The Lonely Sea and the Sky" by (Sir) Francis Chichester, I do recommend it. He did the first E-W solo flight across the Tasman, in 1931, among many other achievements both aerial and nautical. He stopped at both Norfolk Island and Lord Howe Island. A great read. |
Do you have a challenge ?
