It is indeed and represent an F4U Corsair.

Sorry, guys,

I thought it would be a quick one
I checked at 0400 but no answers.
Busy whole day
This appears to be the only way to have my challenges last longer!

Greetings from The Bridge Francais just beside a luxury cargo company.

It would have been all right for me when dook had taken the honor to announce the winner.

I think the location was known by others fairly quickly, but they decided to leave it for others (me) to search out.

Here is the next challenge that I posted prematurely earlier today.

dook 9th Jul 2019 13:40

Somewhere near the Russian front ?

nvubu 9th Jul 2019 16:21

At some point it would have been, but i don't think it was when this photo was taken.

dook 9th Jul 2019 16:30

Are we in Poland ?

nvubu 9th Jul 2019 16:35

Nope.

Will post another image when I get home.

dook 9th Jul 2019 17:27

I think these aircraft have been deliberately torched by a retreating force.

nvubu 9th Jul 2019 18:00

Aircraft destroyed during a bombing raid - you can see more bomb bursts at the top of the first image.

Here's another view of this airfield.

nvubu 9th Jul 2019 19:26

Your thinking is correct

dook 9th Jul 2019 20:05
