Interesting - those cars are driving on the LEFT I think - so ................. one of the ones in red - it's actually one of 78 places see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...t-hand_traffic so not a lot of help..................

The doppler VOR beacon doesn't help either.

Yes - but somewhere they haven't got a decent taxi way to the end of the runway......................... = possible lack of space or just cheap...................
Since it's not "on the Map" I suspect an island in the Caribbean or the S Pacific....................... |
Nadi 09 is close but hasn't go the road round the end of the runway.... I thought Nauru but wrong heading
|
Raratonga in the Cook Islands? not a place I've been but it's on the list

Harry just beat me to it!
Slight thread drift about driving on the left. I used to live in Jakarta, as did Harry, so he will remember this story. In order to establish the prestige of the British Government, the Foreign Office had sent a giant Daimler limousine for the use of the British Ambassador. Not only was its size completely unsuitable for Jakarta's mostly narrow streets, but one of Sir Humphrey's colleagues had obviously decided that since Indonesia had not been a part of the British Empire (at least not since Raffles' time), traffic must drive on the right, and therefore the Daimler was LHD! |
