Lightning Mate 7th Jul 2012 18:36

I've withdrawn it mate.

I think you should post one.......

SincoTC 7th Jul 2012 18:42

OK, you can keep that one for a rainy day (:\:\:\ a dry day would be nice wouldn't it:)) Here is the one that I now have up my sleeve!!

Lightning Mate 7th Jul 2012 18:47

Doesn't appear to be armed............

SincoTC 7th Jul 2012 18:59

Appearances can be deceptive :E

It had the lot, one fixed forward-firing MG, one free-mounted MG in rear cockpit, plus bombs or torpedo for good measure, but none show on the original image :)

If so - sorry, must be open house.

Then get yer backside into gear.....
I will, I will. Been a busy weekend and my brother visited. :)

Lightning Mate 8th Jul 2012 09:51

Evening mate.

That's the one. :ok:

Sorry about screwing with the cockpit challenge - got TC though!

Open House gentlemen.

Lightning Mate 8th Jul 2012 11:53

Big Gotcha on the cockpit thread TC. :E:mad:

err..........isn't the prop going to hit something above the cowling.....:\

Some kind of camera ship?

SincoTC 8th Jul 2012 12:02

Sure was :)!! Not paying enough attention really, too much of a flap after screwing up my Puffin silhouette in the rush to post and then finding you'd got there first, but then withdrew your challenge, I should have spotted the collective lever :O

err..........isn't the prop going to hit something above the cowling.....
No Mate, it's mounted on the wing support strut, well clear of the prop-swing

Lightning Mate 8th Jul 2012 12:08

Some kind of early aerodynamics research job?

SincoTC 8th Jul 2012 12:08

Some kind of camera ship?
Just an ordinary Observation/liaison aeroplane!

Edit: to include next question

That long pitot doesn't appear in many photos, although it is very clear in in the image I used (maybe of the prototype) I would ignore it :)

Lightning Mate 8th Jul 2012 12:16

I'm intrigued!

Parasol monoplane or bipe with parasol upper ?

SincoTC 8th Jul 2012 12:17

A Parasol monoplane

Edit to say that the gap in the vertical stab, apparently to allow adjustment of the incidence of the Horizontal stab, appears in most drawings, but few photos, so I assume that adjustment was not required and it was omitted sometime in production

Lightning Mate 8th Jul 2012 12:28

A Lublin...?

SincoTC 8th Jul 2012 12:29

It is a Lublin :ok:

Lightning Mate 8th Jul 2012 12:40

Short rear fuselage - a cowled R-XIV ?

SincoTC 8th Jul 2012 12:50

Unlucky, not an XIV
