Challenge will be forthcoming. The photo I took with my blackberry was way too small. I'll retake with camera. Please stand by.

It's great if you can offer a challenge if you win, and the cockpit photos (unlike those for the Silhouette Challenge thread), often don't need any preparation other than re-sizing, but it's not obligatory and you're very welcome to compete! :ok:

It would be handy, if you think (or maybe it's obvious) that you've answered correctly and you don't wish to post a Challenge, to say when you answer "please declare Open House if correct", as this will keep things moving along and minimise the delays that are inevitable with a forum that attracts contributions from all over the world.

Funk F-23 ?

evansb 30th Jan 2011 21:40

I'm in a funk. This thread has stalled, spun and is about to crash.

Kerling-Approsh KG 31st Jan 2011 06:25

Well, this sort of aircraft is not my main interest, but thinking aloud to give the impression of closing the throttle, applying full opposite rudder, neutral aileron, etc...

The red handle on the right seems to say OXYGEN, the word SUPPLY has been not-quite-photoshopped out at the top of the checklist, the altimeter is distinctive (was there a discussion about that design a while ago here?), it's a fast but probably very old SEP aircraft with a wide cockpit, the red stick top should tell us something, the yellow handle on the floor LHS is vaguely reminiscent of a de Havilland part, and the bright silver coloured handle is also distinctive...

That said, I have no idea what it is!

Lightning Mate 31st Jan 2011 11:00

Check out the accelerometer!

Lightning Mate 31st Jan 2011 14:24

Perhaps the "supply" is for smoke.

This is an aerobatic aeroplane.
