I think the temp was 80c + so not snow, and it's nowhere near Scandinavia,

Fishtailed 19th Dec 2007 14:05

Is it the Cessna factory at Witchita.

LFT 19th Dec 2007 15:04

A bit further east..

LFT 19th Dec 2007 17:17

The Netherlands has been mentioned, it's not that far from New Amsterdam..

Flap40 19th Dec 2007 19:15

I think it's Linden.

LFT 19th Dec 2007 20:37

I think you're right :D

Flap40 20th Dec 2007 07:59

Cherbourg, methinks.

Russell Gulch 20th Dec 2007 19:43

After three hours, I'm bored, and I'm sufficiently confident of my answer to post the next "Which Aerodrome?"

Leicester based Taylorcraft methinks

Flap40 21st Dec 2007 08:21

Just to confirm, Cherbourg is correct.

.....and after 22 hours, Tiger Mate is still wondering if it is Leicester!

Russell Gulch 21st Dec 2007 20:02

Sorry, the aerodrome is not Leicester.

ICT_SLB 22nd Dec 2007 03:50

John,
I beleive Russell's challenge is still active. You might want to keep yours until you either (a) answer his or (b) the successful person declares open house. I realise it can be a bit slow when Europe's asleep but it is mainly a Brit forum.
Compliments of the Season!

John Hill 22nd Dec 2007 06:23

You are so right, apologies, I read Flap40's post and got the wrong idea.

I am going to pull mine and I understand your 'Brit forum' comment though this particular strip has seen even a RAF Vulcan (though VERY briefly!).

Flap40 22nd Dec 2007 12:25

Nevers in France.

If I'm right then John mights as well jump back in as I won't be able to post a pic until the 24th.

sabredog 22nd Dec 2007 16:30

I believe that Flap40 has it correctly identified.
Taylorcraft org.u.k, confirms the tower as being Nevers.
This internet site is dedicated to the late Maurice Brett.

Tiger_mate 22nd Dec 2007 18:57

I would have sworn that it was a UK Mil ATC Tower modernised. But Nevers it is: (I have been there as well, but it was way back in '88)

Flap40 is correct; Nevers it is.

Looks like John carries the baton.
