seacue's challenge

Perchance it might be Pau?
Mel

seacue 20th Oct 2007 13:04

Not Pau, but you are much closer.

That would have been a flying meet around 1910 -12. I repeat that the aerodrome is still in use. (Or at least one of the same name)

evansb 20th Oct 2007 14:42

Is it Toulouse?

MReyn24050 20th Oct 2007 15:12

seacue's challenge

There were many Grand Aviation weeks in France held after Reims so I will go for either the Grande Semaine d'Aviation Biarittz or the one held at Bordeaux in 1910

seacue 20th Oct 2007 17:21

Mel,

One of those. Pick one.

seacue's challenge

Sorry for trhe delay, I will go for Biarritz, the event I believe was held at Biarritz and Bayonne airfield and later moved to it's present location.

seacue 20th Oct 2007 18:27

You picked the wrong one. However, by elimination, you now know that it is Beau Desert, Merignac, Bordeaux. Pardon the lack of accents.

Mel has control.

Next challenge

Thanks Seacue, I am always the one that calls heads and it turns out to be tails :O.
This one should not prove too difficult.

Is it central/eastern european at all?

seacue 20th Oct 2007 22:51

The name on the side of the building appears to have seven letters. Why do so many major cities have five or six-character names?

Does this large, plain building house a government agency?

Mel's Challenge

It is in Central Europe as regards to Seacue's question, I will have to come back to you on that one.

sidtheesexist 21st Oct 2007 21:11

Would Germany/Poland be getting warm?

evansb 21st Oct 2007 21:32

Munich, Germany. This photo circa 1970.

You have control Bri :D

seacue 21st Oct 2007 21:55

Mel,
Don't bother with searching for the use of the building. I can do that if I really care.
