Sorry, none of those. You are all too far north.

evansb 16th Oct 2007 19:31

Strasbourg?

Flap40 16th Oct 2007 20:00

Not Strasbourg but it is in France.

the incivil beast 16th Oct 2007 22:00

Bordeaux Mérignac per chance ?

Phileas Fogg 17th Oct 2007 05:50

Might it be Dinard?

Flap40 17th Oct 2007 10:16

Phileas Fogg has it. It is Dinard.

Phileas Fogg 17th Oct 2007 16:05

I think PaperTiger's picture might be Floyd Bennett in New York.

Bushfiva 18th Oct 2007 00:56

And photographed in 1934.

seacue 18th Oct 2007 03:14

And the building says "City of New York" on it.

I posted a similar picture of Floyd Bennett field as a challenge some time ago. Mel's list (see below) says it was on Page 4 of this thread.

Mel recently posted a list of all airports in challenges. It is message number 1117 in this thread.

Shoot. didn't see that - need a bigger screen. FBF it is.

seacue 19th Oct 2007 02:13

Golf Charlie Charlie IDed FBF before I did.

seacue 19th Oct 2007 15:47

More than a day has elapsed since GCC identified Floyd Bennett Field and things have gone very quiet.

I'll post these pics to get things going.

Has to be French, surely :)

seacue 19th Oct 2007 20:19

Surely French! The aerodrome is still in use.

evansb 19th Oct 2007 21:41

Is it Reims?

seacue 19th Oct 2007 21:53

Not Reims, but the pictures were from a flying meeting.

the incivil beast 19th Oct 2007 22:38

Toussus-le-Noble ?

seacue 20th Oct 2007 00:06

It isn't Toussus-le-Noble.

I can't find T-le-N in my Michelin road atlas. OK, I found it in Quid.

"My" aerodrome in not in the Paris region nor in northern France.
