Which Aerodrome Mk IV
I agree. I tracked down the F-86 with the “greenwall” tyre to the BAF Museum, which is at Tejgaon.
However, more importantly, I need Asturias to explain the green aircraft with the “magisterial” tall fin!

Comrades - we are definitely in Bangladesh but I'm getting a bit worried about which aircraft are in which museum when ......... its not near Dhaka
For the sake of good order please ignore the museum pics for now - here are a couple of the real airport for sure.

I believe there is still a lot of Dandruff in Jashore/Jessore, Bangladesh. A lot of water too..... I remember having a Tristar slip crew stranded in Dhaka for a week or two back in the eighties when the International Airport flooded. Incidentally I've checked every training airfield in India - could have saved myself a lot of work...............

ahhhh sorry about your educational trip around India - it'll come in useful on here one day soon no doubt!
I did say "Here's one from a place that doesn't often feature here"- we have had remarkably few challenges from Bangladesh over the years

here's a picture to fill in the time until 08:54

24 hours have passed so I can confirm it's Jessore - opened by the RAF in '44 or '45 but finding early pics has been impossible

I presume we are in England?
I thought it might be the winning Dh88 Comet - but she was shipped back (not flown) from Australia

It's Alex Henshaw isn't it?
But it doesn't look like Gravesend where he landed
Amendment written after SLBs contribution at 21/2103;
Er I'll re-phrase that:-
It must be Gravesend where he landed; note his bruised and battered forehead where he hit turbulence.
Considering the number of times I've consulted that guide (www.ukairfieldguide.net) and contributed to it, I should be embarrased.

Thanks Chaps. Gravesend it is. If it's OK with you Bear I think that despite his initial doubts Chevvron should have it.
Henshaw's Cape Town record stood for seventy years.

I found this excellent photographic source for Gravesend Airport. https://www.flickr.com/groups/gahpuk/
