Looks like an Antoinette of some sort. Interesting “rudders” on it.

I had the same thought, but my investigation didn't lead to a likely candidate.

can't see anything in 1929 that looks like that drawing

"Scroggs" was I think used in the Roger Bacon column in Flight for many years to denote a generic manufacturer. If'd seen anything in my search I'd have assumed it was referencing a witty joke column.... looking at the challenge I 'd have been right.....................

All these years looking at 'Air Clues' and I never knew the Bison had that configuration of undercarriage maybe copied from the B47?
