Thanks.
The historical link with the airport is as follows;
"On April 6, 1926, Varney Air Lines pilot Leon Cuddeback, carrying one bag of mail, landed his tiny Curtis Swallow bi-plane at Elko, Nevada, completing the first scheduled air mail run in the United States.
Here's the next one.

Looks like it might be a US base. The two guys stading between the Servicemen walking away from the aircrft seem to be saying or thinking "What the hell is that machine?"
Forgive the thread drift:
RAF Hastings at Clark Field in the Phillipines.
Two American airmen looking at said Hastings remark to Scottish flight engineer who is doing his walk round:
"Gee, that's an interesting airplane but why does it land on its tail?"
Response:
"Hiv ye ever seen a burd land on its bluidy beak?"
I'll get my coat.

Thanks Clint sorry I missed Bri's posting. However The reason I gave Kwajalein Airport was that I found a similar photograph of a RNZAF Hastings at Kwajalein Airport on route to Guam. So I will go for Andersen AFB (Guam)
