RAF Hastings at Clark Field in the Phillipines.
Two American airmen looking at said Hastings remark to Scottish flight engineer who is doing his walk round:
"Gee, that's an interesting airplane but why does it land on its tail?"
Response:
"Hiv ye ever seen a burd land on its bluidy beak?"
