Good guess, but not Ouarzazate, although there is a connection between the two airfields.

Correct Naclav although I guess the last clue gave it away. It is indeed Errachidia in Morocco. My former company operated some charter flights there in 2007. Its busiest time, hence my clue, is during the Paris-Dakar Rally, and whereas I am not 100% familiar with that event, one of the stages used to be from Errachidia to Ouarzazate.

Hi Brian. Quite right - Midland it is. Home of the Commemorative Air Force.

The grid pattern of buildings in the surrounding area is the greatest clue, in my opinion.

Wild guess but I understand the PBM-3D operated from here in 1945. Chimu Wan Base Terminal / Tengan Pier Okinawa.
