Dak base?
Here's one. Not a lot of clues there and so I'll tell you that it was not actually a transport base but had Daks assigned. It may not last long! RR

Well, its been going on for a while and so a small clue. It was/is a recce base for this air arm but allowed us in for four/five chartes while another well known airort was being prepared for civil traffic. RR

Well done Skytrain10! Here's the view in the opposite direction...
We flew LGW-LRA-SKG (Thesalloniki)-LGW weekly until Skiathos was ready. Taken in 1982 the base was then home to a number of RF-84Fs and RF-4Es. The Daks were based as a local transport flight and occupied this ramp with a SAR Agusta 205. RR
All yours Skytrain10...........

Thanks RR. I was sure the C-47's had to be Greece...just a case of isolating which airfield...your last clue made that task a little easier!

OK. I've looked again and the hangerage on the left seems quite orderly, almost military. I think you can make out another ramp further away on the left too - civil? Making an assumption of Morocco asit is probably the most organised military nation in that area I'll plump for Rabat-Sale, civil/military field? RR
