Sorry Guys I've been stuck on Various planes the last few days.
Not Indonesia but you are closer.

You will see this long wooden Bridge when on Left base to 02

I believe the answer to your challenge is Dillingham Army Airfield on Oahu, Hawaii.

If correct we should probably proceed with albatross's challenge to save confusion.

Could it be Timor ?

Mel, a note of clarification for your list. Recommend Dillingham AAF/AFB and Mokuleia AAF both be added to the list as they are the same aerodrome.

Cheers!

Not Timor

If I was a "Crossword Puzzle" fan - the clue would be:

"A barnyard cat may get one of these"

The clue is in an "old saying" and a "play on words" or the perhaps I am being too "cute".
Guess I liked the D-Day clues contained in the Times crossword story too much..

Micronesia or the Phillipines - no.
Mainland Asia.

There is a Sea to the west.

Good challenge The "Sea to the West" clue was most helpful, but the wooden bridge on LB02 was the closer. Here is the next challenge:

Ok, as nobody has posted yet, I'll start things rolling again with this.

C.

Opps. Just checked and found this place has been covered before but many years after this picture. If anyone objects, I will remove it.
