Who else but Canadians would build the hockey rink first?

The zig-zag rail fencing around the farmer's field might suggest eastern Canada, but I'm not certain about the types of aircraft. Fairchild Cornell, maybe, with a a couple of Tiger Moths thrown in?

Sure - it looks like a hockey pitch,
It's not Canada.
Initialy the aerodrome was used for US navy training -

Cheers,

The list can be found in the "sticky" entitled :- What Cockpit and What Aerodrome latest Lists at the top of the "Aviation History and Nostalgia" Page.

Mel, I checked "the list" and this one's not on it. Nice thing you're doing there, so let me add my thanks. Let me buy the first pint in Dublin, then Clint and Des can sponsor, eh?

So, a hint: Many a Brit military man (woman?) has spent time in the barracks in the woods to the left (south side) of that runway.

Cheers,

Tom

Yes, "How about Bardufoss" - but no, sorry, that's not it.

Cheers,

Bodo or Farsund?
No. South of the former, north of (and closer to) the latter. Hint: Good water.

Cheers,

Tom
