Good evening Ken,

There's a very good reason that it looks like the Scraggs Last Laugh and that's because it is!!

I wonder what became of it?

Well done skytrain you have control

Thanks Sinco....as you say, I wonder what became of it. An excellent challenge and yet another new one on me!

Talking of unusual aircraft -

In case you're wondering., its a pusher prop at the rear.

Which I assume is at the top between the twin fins and that the aeroplane is of canard configuration.

I'm going to have to give up on this one, my internet has bogged down for the last hour and is taking several minutes to refresh, don't know if the problem's here, but I can't restart our server 'coz it's in the middle of backing-up.

I'd guessed that it probably was a pusher and suspect it could be a micro/ultra-light (maybe Spanish) but can't follow up on initial search due to above. If it's not that, is it a UAV ?

Gotta go now before I break something! Have just been staring at a "waiting for" animated icon on a promising link for fifteen minutes, only to be presented with a commercial advertising page with absolutely nothing to do with the picture

Very frustrating as the config "should" yield to searching, been trying box-wing, rhomboid-wing, diamond-wing and lozenge-wing, got lots of promising images, but just time-outs trying to follow them up.

If this post gets through, it took ten minutes for my knowledgement to appear! Good luck all.

Seeya.

Hi Sinco
Computer probs seem to be the theme at the moment. Hope you manage to get things sorted.

Not Spanish and not a micro or ultralight. Its designed as a production aircraft seating up to 5 passengers. It is still at the project stage.

Evening Mechta...long time no see. Got it in one mate , yes its the Stavatti SM-45S Aviara from the US. One of many projects Stavatti have been working on. If I read the literature correctly they are looking to achieve deliveries within the next 3 years. Time will tell!

All yours Mechta

Thanks Skytrain10, I knew I had seen that shape somewhere. I really can't figure out what Stavetti's game is. They make some outrageous claims of what they can do, but don't appear to have any track record. Are they a flight of fancy, or are they serious? I just don't know...

Anyway, here's the next one:

Me neither, but there is a wealth of different designs there....one can but hope one of them finally comes off. I believe they did actually produce something - there was an article some years ago about it in an Aviation rag - looking at their designs it was probably a proof-of-concept jobby.

Right back to the matter at hand...doesn't ring any bells so time to do some digging! Just trying to figure the layout...is it one engine driving 2 props?

Hi Skytrain10, Yes, it was a single engine driving both props.

No, not Caproni or Russian.

Think of a gliding rodent and you are halfway to getting the make of the engine.

Taking the Flying Squirrel/Scott connection one stage further, would the engine be a Hall-Scott from the US, and if so would that make this an American design?
