On that scaffolding between the wings, above the fuselage. It was a 150hp jobby. The captured prototype went on to be copied and produced by another country, with 140 being produced by another well-known manufacturer

It certainly is!!!! The Italians took the L40 and used it as the basis for their Macchis.

Yes it does.

The windscreen and canopy are beautifully blended into the upper fuselage.
