Morning all (at least for when you come on-thread).

Looks like I have missed a bit of fun, but what is this "Not For Skytrain" all about? Has he done something wrong?

However, it looks like he has got the challenge and the test post.

Sorry Strega, but no - it is (was) a lot older than that.

It isn't South African or Australian either!

Not German I'm afraid.

This prototype was pusher-propeller driven.

Hi all!!!

How great to see so many new names on the thread but what chaos!!!!! I'm not on again today - back tomorrow - and let's see if things have straightened out.

Some basics though (Strega and Hesham take note please)

1. You ONLY post an image if you win the previous challenge.

2. If you think that you are not going to be back on the thread in the short time after you have made a guess at an answer then please state that it is OPEN HOUSE if you are correct. Please don't leave it for hours for others to wait for you.

3. If your challenge is guessed correctly please sure to be clear who has won and therefore who has control for the next challenge

See you all tomorrow (or maybe later depending how the football goes if I get bored!!)

RR

(I'm sure these things have been mentioned already but I am underlining this)

I would like to reiterate Ridge Runner's comments, but please take note of the basic rules of the competition.

To be clear, as the winner of the last challenge, it is down to hesham to put up the next challenge, or declare Open House. So hesham we await your challenge, or if you cannot provide a posting quickly you should declare Open House so as not to "stall" the thread.

Irishair, please see the "sticky" on the Aviation History and Nostalgia main page entitled: Image Posting on PPRune - some tips for you. I would strongly recommend using Photobucket as an image hosting sights....I have personally tried both Flickr and Picasa and neither seem to work with pprune (at least they did not work for me!). If you need any additional guidance on posting please send personal message and I will explain.

Finally a reminder that an image, should where possible, be in silhouette form of some sort.

hesham we await your challenge.....

ps...afternoon Martin

Good afternoon gentlemen.

I am very sorry for my lack of response, but the whole city has been without internet connection from a certain ISP for several hours.

We now have it back. You all know me well enough to realise that I never post unless I am able to monitor the thread.

According to the thread rules, it is up to me and me alone to confirm the winner, who is hesham.

I do apologise, but this has been beyond my control - I am sure you will all understand.

YOU HAVE CONTROL HESHAM

Lightning Mate.

Sorry LM I misread one of the posts....saw a comment saying it really is the XP-59 and rashly (but wrongly) assumed it was from you. I'll pay more attention next time!!

No problem mate.

The culprit is British Telecom, which company has today behaved like the English football team.............

The thread:

"ensure that instructions/orders are given in adequate time, are valid and legal in accordance with The Queens' Regulations, and are capable of execution by the encumbent"

Royal Air Force Staff College, 1975.

Anon, LM.
