It's a Waco.

Can't see clearly, but I'll guess a YPF ?

Yes, it is a WACO, but not the YPF. Try again.

Three letters and a number will work. They must be in the correct order. Happy hunting!

Sorry, sycamore, not the UPF-7. WACO had quite the alphabet soup, didn't they?

And since many Waco sub-models are visually indistinguishable from one another (especially in a silhouette), we're actually reduced to just guessing here.

It's an F of some kind but I'm not claiming a win 'cos I don't have anything to post

Well said. The aircraft is a WACO YMF-5. Open house.

Silhoutte Challenge list

I believe there is a problem with the Geocities website. I have tried to update the current lists but am unable to get into Geocities. Am I to believe this is the case for all pruners? Mel

Is it a kit plane (amateur built)? Some production Thurstons had t-tails, but not two-piece outriggers.

Not a "Lakes" or a kit build, but it is an amphibian.

This aircraft was built two years before the "Lakes" designed by David Thurston (i.e. in 1946).
