Time for a clue, methinks.

This aircraft was powered by a 130 hp Franklin 6A pusher unit.

I think there was a predecessor to the Lake series - very similar in concept and outline - but the name escapes me.

Any nearer ??

Certainly the contemporary "Seabee" had the bigger Franklin........

This does not count as an attempt, keep going Folks.

The "successor" to this model came two years later had an extra seat and used a 190 hp Lycoming O-435 unit.

Neither the Goodyear "Duck" or the C-1 Skimmer. The aircraft in question was American.

Hmmm, still no takers.

It is a bit difficult to give clues to this aircraft as I have not been able to find that much information about the machine or the manufacturing company. That was one of the reasons for posting, I wanted to find out more.

As far as I can gather the company was founded in 1931 in Westchester, N.Y. and around 1946 had a slight name change and moved to Flushing, N.Y.

RETDPI has it, the Bunyard BAX-3 Sportsman.

All I have been able to find out about this aircraft is that in 1946 Kenneth L. Bunyard designed a lightweight amphibian Flying Boat. The BAX-3 was a three seat, all wood construction aircraft with a cantilever wing and was powered a 130 hp Franklin 5A pusher unit. a four seat version (the BAX-4) followed in 1948 powered by 190 hp O-435 pusher unit.

RETDPI has control.

Wrong,
Sigh, okay, it is the Beechcraft T-34A built under license by Fuji Aircraft of Japan, called the T-3, T-5 or the T-7.

Open house.
