I'm intrigued by the "flag" type thing sticking out of the skid.... or is that the back of the aircraft? Is it oddly flying right to left?

The thing is a skid which is located centrally beneath the fuselage. The flag type thing at the front of it does NOT feature on all photos, so I am not sure what its purpose is.

The aircraft is flying left to right in the picture.

And with regard to the Fike D, I have no idea....maybe to convert the cabin for cargo??

OK, thanks. Is it powered?

The reason that the Fike D controls were on the roof was that it could be used in the outback and you could sleep on the floor!

I've said it more than once, this thread is an education!

Yes, but there is also a virtually identical unpowered model as well.

Useful I guess....not something that seems to have caught on though!

Good afternoon skytrain,

I think it's the Japanese OpenSky M-02 ? I believe the M-02J was jet powered ? there was an unpowered M-01 test prototype too but not found photo.

If correct, then Open House Please as Coffee break's over and I'm back to work.

I'm not sure!!! It was powered... I think! It was built.

I had a dig around in Google but I can't find any reference to it! Sorry!

That could limit research somewhat!

Were those wings fixed in that position or did they move?

Something from Russia?

Where've you been LM? In the naughty corner? Great to see you back mate!

Yes Skytrain10, the Alerion Riout 102T from France. I have to say that I know nothing about it! It is listed on the Musee Aviation de Angers website but I'm not sure if they have one there.

You have control Ken!!!!
