Well, I don't think so mate. Like I said, not 100% sure as there was no captioning, BUT in the same chapter an aircraft is depicted and I googled it and found a cutaway on Flight Global that fits.
Another Avro product...I think....
Yes mate. Did you get my photo via e-mail?

Must be the Ashton then, but yours looks like a taildragger!
Aka Tudor 9
Aka Tudor 9
Six were built using the Tudor airframe, beginning with the conversion of Tudor I initially powered by Nene 5 engines. The Ashtons that followed incorporated the upgraded Nene 6 and featured an enlarged, "square-shaped" tail fin and tricycle landing gear replacing the original "taildragger" configuration.

Yes, I got it, and failed with it with flying colours. Will write you an e-mail during my today.
One learns something every day, doesn't one?
I got the Hapi score……
BTW, I nowadays take a screen-shot on the finished response, full view with time stamp and all before submitting it, and save it for a rainy day.
Here's another piccie on the Tudor

Thanks Graeme,
It probably is mate, but probably an early one, converted from a Tudor airframe, see my added quote from Wiki above!

Reg, that sounds like a good policy with AQ, but it's far too organised for me mate as it's only a game, but it is annoying, especially if it breaks a streak

With a little help from your "wingman" if I recall correctly
But the difference I may have had was that I did further research and put there two manufacturer names and both designations ("names")….
It is just game, I agree. And I like it as such. Especially as a rookie.

I believe it was just a single tractor engine Graeme, but can't find too much info on it!
Interesting; according to their "Rules" that would lead to rejection of the answer! BTW, I did submit the published answer and name.
What I do find frustrating, is when you do the research and find the indisputable correct answer (as per the following week when most of a registration was shown) revealing it to be built in 1942; and then find that the "answer" claims that it was named and built by a company only formed in the 1970's . Happily, they also accepted the "proper" answer (and this has happened quite a lot over the last year!

All correctly ruled out Graeme and not French either!
I'm pretty certain that you've posted one from this manufacturer
I can picture Reg getting out his list of who posted, who ID, so I won't say if I got it or not

added reggie and corrected typo
That was the Interstate Cadet mate, also erroniously captioned in Wiki as the Arctic Tern. Checkout the reggie in the FAA database (N48027); the year and engine are different (and shown correctly on the wiki variant tab)! see also wiki "Arctic Aircraft"

TC has cracked 33 Graeme's challenges by the end of May.
…and Graeme has posted 333 challenges

As I have to go soon, I'll add that the one I recall was regurgitated by your wingman and ID'd by you, so back to the databank, schnell
