Thanks LM,
No I won't OH agin mate, still pretty hectic, but should be able to monitor periodically this afternoon.
Not an all-seing eye Martin, but a good memory for odd craft and an idea where they might be found!
Try this one, in a way it was somewhat before its time

You're on to me innit!
I try and be "on to" all the regular player's sources and favourites, but I'm sure we all do to an extent! However, I haven't got to the stage of taking note and documenting it all, just use it to try and keep the old grey cells ticking over
It was an early amphibious design, but that's not really what I had in mind, although very similar!

Talking of knowing the players, I should have known not to post this before Graeme hit the sack
Possibly the very first WIGE design!
It is the Michigan Steel Boat Co's Flying Fish (Aka the Wadsworth Flying Fish)
Noyade has (had) Control
Edit: Graeme has retired to his bed and declared Open House, sleep well mate! Now I'm back to work, catchya later guys!
Possibly the very first WIGE design!
In 1911, Detroit industrialist and boat tycoon Frederick Elliott Wadsworth (1868-1927), built a hydro-aeroplane named the Flying Fish which debuted at the New York Boat Show. The unusual vehicle was designed to skim on top of the water at speeds of up to 65 mph, with the ‘skipper-pilot’ seated in a wicker chair at the rear of its canoe-like hull. The Flying Fish was successfully tested on the ice of Lake St. Clair but no further development occurred.

Not an UL, Reg. It could be said to be home-built, yes. It was built in one country by a man from another country, who trained in two other countries! The rights to it were then sold on to one other country who then sold it on to another!!!! Very internatinal - at least six countries touched upon in one way or other! I believe later builds used a different engine. RR
