Could this be PS-89 (or ZIG-1) by A.Laville and A.V.Kulev, maybe the first aircraft whose tail broke. Most pictures show a smaller fin, but I found one which was bigger and rounder at the trailing end.

Evening Reg. Not the PS-89/ZIG-1.

Concentrate on the America's, but not Argentina.

All very quiet. Not going to have much time tomorrow, so clue for the night shift. We've had aircraft from this manufacturer before. Probably the most well known aircraft producer in this particular country.

Some differences, but possibly the Supermarine F.9/35 two-seat Spitfire...?

Good morning / evening.

Looks like we're going to have to wait for quite a while, although Graeme is undoubtedly correct.

Morning Mate!

Have found the picture with text "Three-view of Type 305 …. The Type 305 isn't quite a Spitfire yet. It was based on the January 1935 F.37/34 submission."

…and "Turret Fighters (especially Spitfires). ... Supermarine Type 305, theres a bit of history in BSP 1935-1950 by Tony Buttler."

Bri usually shows up in about 4 hours from now, at the earliest…. If I could get it my way, I'd call it (with a consent of a quorum of other resident SC'ers) to Graeme to get the Sunday morning / evening going.

Yes mate.

F.9/35 Two-seat four-gun turret fighter

The Spitfire is not listed in Specification F.9/35.

However, Graemes' illustration is quite definitive.

By the time Bri pitches up Graeme will probably be , so it will get interesting. It's now 0219 local time in Lethbridge.

On with some sleeving.

So would I, but Graeme probably won't show up now because he knows the time in Canada.

Shall we try calling....

Graeme...Graeme...Graeme... ??

You shout mate, you're closer to Oz than I am.

G'day/Morning gents.

My illustration (bottom one) is from "Supermarine Aircraft since 1914". No mention of a Type 305?

Evening mate.

Wot about the top one then?

Supermarine actually did have a turret fighter design at the time they were designing the prototype Spitfire. The Type 305 was basically the Spit design with a turret. The RAF went with the Defiant and it never got off the drawing board which probably saved Supermarine some embarrassment seeing how well turret fighter concept worked out.

That's Brian's mate. I just reposted it for comparison.
If Reg found it as the "Type 305" then that must be it....?

We have to be careful here.

The poster of that image called it the Type 305, but the site is littered with fake and fantasy aircraft.
