I just don't get the lower jobs between the main wheels and nosewheel.

In some ways it reminds me of the Microjet Microturbo.

Here's something to google...

The engine (a Continental C90 -12F) was placed in the conventional bow and drove over a six-meter long shaft of the pusher propeller at the stern

Honestly, I was in the process of formulating a German search before seeing your clue. But this one is pretty difficult to crack, me lacking proper terminology in German. Probably Druckpropeller is commonly used, but usually see them called pusher, even in German context.

Excellent Challenge - a bit pity that it aborted. But my PPRuNe got completely unstable, too.
