Apparently they are disappointed because the pilots asked for this…. tells you everything you need to know about how out of touch management is.

Man that must be a hard position to be in. It’s possible that they might have to consider making 1.6 billion next year instead of 1.7 in order to keep the show on the road. You should go back with “ and we have been clear that the package offered isn’t enough to compensate for the work and lifestyle the job provides when there are other options available”
I wonder what the conversations between the mining companies and Coward St are like tonight?

Great news. Well done for standing firm. Management will be spewing now!
Don't listen to the lies e.g. we can’t afford to pay any more, this is our budget, this is our business case. What garbage.
We’re critical to the operation…at the end of the day THEY’RE not!
Trim your bloated IR, legal, HR and management departments. Join all the QF groups together on common conditions and stop the waste paying these parasites.
Bring it in house and fire all the idiots who got us in this mess.
then you can pay your critical staff what they’re worth (i.e. engineers, pilots, instructors etc).

Oh, and stop sending me questionnaires about how I identify, do I feel included, can I be myself at work, what are my pronouns…
Run the airline you morons!

That declaration is a concern, I mean being unable to pay your bills means only one thing.

The pilot group has called bullsh!t on the IR playbook. It’s time to talk turkey.

Thank you NAA guys, ballsy and necessary.

Imagine presiding over AIPA, defecting to Qantas IR, grinning smugly at a senate inquiry, and then running this absolute disgrace “negotiation”.

Trying to use the IB process as a knife to the throat was a huge gamble. And you’ve now convincingly lost.

I bet Twiggy and Gina have just about had enough of this BS from the Zumba-class, dog-patting street bridgade.

When is VH going to finally stand up and LEAD by example? Offer them short haul award conditions and draw a line under this bin fire so both sides can get back to the business of flying passengers safely.

Jeez, at vote two which was 53% no, then vote three which was 57% no, all these morons had to do was loosen the belt minimally to sway like seven pilots over the line to vote yes.

What an absolute hilarious way to fk it up when you almost had it in the bag. Sheer arrogance has bit them in the arse.

Huge Congratulations to the Network Pilots. 77% of you are legends.

The remainder, like INOAC, are weak and should be ashamed of themselves. Don’t wipe the clown make up off your faces tonight when you stand in front of a mirror.

Oh its sure to come! Its astonishing the number of very good deals they have presented to almost every work group over many many years & suddenly something better pops up which is ultimately accepted & then comes the story about how happy they are its all comes within the 3% & the wage freeze & anything else they can dream up.
Their BS is never ending & the sad part is, they believe it.

Honestly, with the lack of communication from QF management, the repeated lies to the media and the disgustingly low offers to the pilots along with terrible conditions, I would just write to QF management demanding these base pays for Network pilots and all jet pilots in the group (f/o $200k capt 350k) or its best to shut the airline down. The reality is pilots can do the jobs of these morons yet they cannot do our job. I have zero respect for 98% of office/managerial staff these days. They have never worked a day in their lives. They have transitioned from the university campus to the corporate campus. At best they are an embarrasment, with all their woke touchy feely bull****. They put up all these posters of what I call new age Woke Corporate Communism/Bolshevik bull**** in their offices, advocating for the embracing and improvement of all this garbage except for the improvement of workers salaries. But the management are more than happy to push their ideological brainwashing onto the workers and masses and then give themselves absurd and obscene payrises which would make the most pro capitalist consider communism all the while continuing to pay you peanuts. This is reality, if a pilot is on 100k then a Qantas manager should be on 50k. Yet it is so far the other way that it needs to be corrected. It is time to shove reality down their f..king throats. For endless years staff have had to put up with their propaganda lies and deceit, it is time these corporate communists get a taste of their own medicine. Keep voting no until Mainline and NJS EAs align. Then park every red tailed jet in the country. In the meantime the union should organise, prepare pamphlets to hand out to passengers at airports as to what has really been going on within the airline, and target passengers who are flying on e190s, so they know what they are paying for. I would advertise to the pax that due to the extreme reduced costs with Alliance that the tickets should only be $60 one way, see the publics reaction when pamhplets with the facts start getting handed out. It is time to rip the throat out of the enemy. Qantas is happy to advocate and brainwash you with their bolshevik corporate communist beliefs i.e they would rather you be LGBQTI+ instead of FINACIALLY STABLE and able to support a family. They are litterally mocking you and advocating for their staff to be in poverty, but hey you can be any pronoun you want. Time for BLITZKRIEG. Best to shut the Network down if they can't afford a modest salary that keeps up with inflation.

Surely at this point it would be cheaper to align all contracts with SH pay scale and put an end to this nonsense.

Let’s be honest even if NAA voted yes NJS and others are not far behind. This will never be over.

enough seriously

I think every Qantas executive is crossing their fingers and clenching their rectal muscles in hope that their soft corruption will pay off at the FWC and that they’ll fix this clusterf*ck for them. Id love to say that I’m unconcerned by this and they have no chance but Australian society has such a streak of cronyism to it that it will be a while before I personally do any unclenching.

I would be very comfortable if the unions spent some of my dues keeping an eye on the next moves by our fearless leaders with regard to certain ‘relationships’ within the commission. I would like to think the amount of scrutiny they would be under following the CL expose’ would be enough though.
