My apologies........ I pressed the wrong button and lost this thread for awhile!
But it is back now!
Naughty tail wheel. There was much fear for a while that Fort Fumble and Flyingfiend had confiscated said thread. Especially considering the music has yet to stop and the chess pieces are still being shuffled

Merry Christmas (sorry Holidays)

For a minute there I thought it was something I said. The ethics meter or truthometer at PPRuNe wasn't used to so much detail. But all appears well again.
Thanks to our moderator/s

The village of Ethics UK.

Frank, Ethics, UK has been erased from the map, hopefully the last citizens migrated here, but doubt they would qualify to enter under strict No Ethics policy.

They may qualify under our extinction laws being such a small minority (pardon the Tautology) but then what would they do here, there are few followers of their creed. Maybe they could take apathy lessons or join the public service for an indoctrination course. CASA come to mind, they have an almost spotless record when it comes to such retraining - never thunked I would admit this but they are the bestest world leaders. (tautology?)

Empty Skies are Safe Skies!

Given recent Christmas events I would suggest it isn't a Chess game, but Dominos CAsA are playing with the aviation industry. Knock one over and the rest fall in subsequence.

I note today the 'Red Ninja and her 'Handbag Hit Squad' terms of reference for the Catholic Church purge.

In part reads that prior matters settled out of court with confidentiality agreements are a 'crock' and can be called to evidence. Is this really Rule of Law stuff, or more of something The High Court can be called to make a decision on?

I understand this is for this Royal Commision only, but does it set a precedent if CAsA were to be held to account for all their matters that never went to trial?

I half expect CAsA will try to ameliorate the February Senate by making some 'confidential' agreements, but are those binding if the matter is already mentioned and 'in evidence' already?

No Tom.

I have a seriously threatening letter from a "personage" who titles himself
Regional Manager Nth Qld Regions Operations. O Richards.

Up from Mexico, south of the border. Famous? for producing an "instrument" down there, so Google tells me.

The letter proves that he's just another bully for the NQ circus,
As a result of my minor criticism, its obvious and he has no intention of righting a wrong by an "investigator" (sic) in CNS, one M Haslam, and the victim just has to suck it, stress, hurt and financial costs.

As this sort of thing just keeps on happening, one has to wonder how the Skull can keep prattling on about the shiny NEW CASA.
Its a crock.

Mods. Con su permiso.

With the forbearance of the Mods, as most of this thread has previously been tolerated as humour and a place to air the more risible posts related to aviation; the following "Anonymous contribution" was sent to me for a laugh. As there are not too many laughs in the real saga of the "Lady Wilga" I thought I might share it. No editing by me but, it did make me smile. Would love to "fix" it up, there's almost a classic feel to the thing – judge it as you may. Selah. K.

An ode to the Lady Wilga.
Once upon a time in a far off sunny land, a good old stick, Sir Richard, was lending the 'Lady Wilga' a loving, helpful hand, she'd tripped the sky fantastic; where she flew like a dancing band. Until back on sullen earth she'd bumped her bum on a bumper bar; and was stuck there; down on land.

"What ails thee pretty flower"; croons Sir Richard as he looks, "there's not much too much wrong here my pet: we'll fix it, by the book".

And as he looked, all caring like; along the dusty road there came a bloody great big copper astride a gummint bicycle ; ugly, and as mean as Doc Hook.

"Get ya grubby paws off that ladies bum", cries he, "lest I first arrest you, then jail you and have you duly tried".

"Do your worst, ya ugly bastard" called hero Richard, very aloud, "tis my lady's bum which I will fix and send her off; real proud".

The boots and punches flew that sunny Queensland day; and 'til the brawl was over no one had a clue: to who it was; or why it was, nor where the winning lay.

But today, she sits all rosy; like a smile on virgins cheek. Sir Richard one, the villain none; a paddlin' up shit creek.

Ahh the penny drops...tricky bugger "K"! The Ferryman was just providing the entrée before the main course.

So Sunny Barrier...Hardys...Pel-Air..BH..JQ...RR..Alligator...Airtex...AR etc..etc and the list will keep growing! All conceptually flawed prosecutions, enforcement actions and/or investigations conducted by Fort Fumble.

All of these on this totally disengaged Minister's watch...meanwhile sections of the industry, the GA small end of town, continue to be royally pineappled by a reactive regulator who is basically out of control and believes they are a law unto themselves...sheesh...Creamy is right unless GA industry stakeholders unite future generations will be reading about the once proud Oz GA industry in their history books!

Ok so where is the main course??

"Oh where are out thou aroa?"

ps aroa perhaps MH is still smarting from not being able to nail 'Jonesy'??

The Axe man cometh...

Dangly. I sent MH a CASA postcard, you may know the ones that come with the posters and all the other taxpayer funded "stuff" that mostly goes in the bin. This one was..picture of a weary Fred "Are you tired and stresed at work"?
I suggested that "the GA industry was sick and tired of nitwits like you and Cremerius who fail to do proper should be promoted to a new office ...the dole office!"
This minor opinion piece is seen by OR as "obscene, offensive, and derogatory ! (Needs dictionary, I think)
Jesus,,from past experience of statements from CASA persons, I''ll give you derogatory, defamatory and bleeding lies as well..but that's CASA for ya.

Some readers might be able to use this one, as threatened... Crim code sec 471.12.."Using a postal service to menace, harrass or cause offence"
2 years in the slammer ! EXACTLY like OR did.
Obviously doesnt see the irony. Claim a threat.. and then make a big one !

I'm sure that the AFP, that would not deal with 3 perjuring SAWIs, (with a nudge from CASA), will go ballistic over an opinion card!

And the issue of a crap investigation causing hurt and expense to the victim..does CASA deal with that?. No way.
NO accountability and NO liability..its the CASA code of (mis)conduct.

Re Lady Wilga and the 3 SAWIs. Been beavering away over the years, for many lines of enquiry, as well as NON FOI, recently got 10 pages out of 129 and 1/2 blacked out..what a sick joke. FOI my ar$e !
Must be something there CASA doesnt want us to see.
Fear not, entering the home straight for the end game.

Operations Exec

Anybody know what prompted the appointment of an acting person in this role. Gerard Campbell is now listed as acting Exec. I thought there was somebody else appointed after Mr Hood took another post in Canberra.

Uita, thanks. That helps explain the musical chairs.

So has GH completed the reg reform nightmare he was given? Or was it a poison chalice. I expected GH to be a serious contender for DoA after J Mc.

Well folks, there's an air of breathless anticipation here at the clandestine Snakes and Ladders championship as the GWM team put the finishing touches to series of uninspired, mundane positioning moves: the music is still playing and the poison chalice is on the move; but soon, the music will stop and it will be the oppositions turn. The question now will be have the GWM crew done enough; or, are they relying on the other team nodding off under the extended time to move rules?

At the moment an interesting series of moves has seen a token from the far north end of the board sliding South on a short connecting snake, which will position it nicely for a rapid climb on a close to home ladder. That ladder is currently occupied, but the tried and tested "sideways" axe manoeuvre may be used again – didn't quite work last time; but it's an entertaining gambit which depends on who wins the shuffle.

At the top of the board there is a little more action, the hackneyed 'Sacrificial Lamb' (SL) option is in play, the big question – is it a lamb or a wolf in sheep's clothing? – either way it's a risky gambit. The opposition have seen this one before and they may not go for it, ever again. The problem for the GWM team is that if the SL strays from the golden pathway it may become a useful weapon. Unpredictable things, even to those with psychic powers. SL' s are rightly famous for their aversion to salt water immersion, verbal abuse, pineapples and can turn nasty when the mood descends.

Time will tell how the game finishes, the next move is due after this short break.

The future...

Big K..thanks for the laughs.

Anyone heard anything about Ye Taske Force. Was birthed in March 2011 and to disgorge "Saving GA" promisory notes after 2 years.

Time is nearly up.! 2 yrs is but a blink of an eye in the CASA scheme of things.

Any whispers / rumours out there of "things" to come. ? So we can
