Anyway Coventry is way way way too far south for Jet2 to serve!!! |
True, but Jet2 don't operate from BOH. Their base is in the North at LBA these days and has already been stated they don't really seem to venture much further South than EMA for pax servicies. I guess EZY has already got it sewn up down there. Personally I think CWL could work though I doubt it will happen any time soon.
|
Well Jet2 did try to open a base at SEN in 2012 but the airport could not accommodate them at that time. What's to say they wouldn't try again in the future? There's a big holiday market from SEN which EZY has not yet fully covered.
|
But EZY has the contract and I'm sure they'd jump Jet2 and have them gone in no time. Although LS can do longer routes from SEN which EZY can't due to the A32X's runway performance.

Any chance we can re-title this thread: 'Fantasists and would love to see more tailfins at my favourite airport because my football team is better than your team Thread''?
Just sayin' |
All names
LOL...:D:D: |
I'm not sure if CVT still has it's temporary terminal but if it does I assume that could be used? I'm sure permission was granted to build a permanent one |

What are people's opinions on the medium haul 757 routes I mentioned?

Planes at Glasgow
Apologies if this has been discussed, I did a quick search.
Just saw several (5?) 737 and a 757 parked at Glasgow. Is this just seasonal, maintenance or have they been withdrawn? Just wondering Thanks |
Seasonal - it's the lowest part of the low season...
|
Boeing 737-300, G-CELU has operated its last ever flight. As she was flown from Leeds down to Kemble for part out and scrapping earlier today. Understand G-CELC will be the next aircraft to follow within days.
|
G-CELC is still in service. Due to be withdrawn this coming weekend and then flown to Kemble next Monday 15 December. This aircraft was delivered new to British Midland as G-OBMA, their first 733 for Heathrow services.
|
Kemble seems to be grabbing every scrapping job they can get there hands on! Must be cheap.
|
G-CELC will have her last flight on the morning of 16 Dec, flying from LBA-EGB.

Do we know the routes for the Air Asia A330 lease for 2015? Current timetable lists turnaround times as 1 hour for most flights so not sure which flights it will operate. Guessing a 360 seat A330 may need a bit longer.
|
I won't be specific but I believe some of the typical high density med routes are what it's intended for. It's gone quiet as far as I'm concerned but I believe more will be clear by the end of Jan..
Certainly not the best kept secret in the company.. |
Looks like the Routes for the A330 are loaded on their website
DLM,TFS,PFO,ACE + BJV seem to be the routes all out of MAN |
