Just been announced that Jet2 are stopping Tel aviv route from MAN as of November 4th. Wonder why this is? Even though easyjet have started flights it doesnt seem to have affected passenger numbers! anyone have any ideas?

What interior does the travel service a/c have?

theloudone 5th Apr 2013 12:41

Quite a few seats, over head lockers and toilets I gather:)

Jet2 EMA

Now Jet2 have got 1 757-200, 1 737-800 & 1 737-300 currently based at EMA what else will join at the base in May a 757-200, 737-800 or a 737-300? thanks

sunshine79 5th Apr 2013 19:49

Don't they have a leased A320 based at EMA for summer?

ematom1 5th Apr 2013 20:09

I heard that had been changed to a 737-800?

GoEDI 5th Apr 2013 20:40

YL- registered A320 postioned into EDI this evening and will be operating flights this weekend.

goldeneye 5th Apr 2013 21:40

Take it that's an A320 from Smartlynx.

LPFR 7th Apr 2013 04:00

Yes it is, in an all white livery.

theloudone 7th Apr 2013 08:10

Finally something modern, shame the rest of fleet is not Airbus

SCANDIC 7th Apr 2013 08:17

A320 is the way to go these days far better aircraft than the 73-800.

munster 7th Apr 2013 09:31

The EMA based Travel Service 737, OK-TSA has Jet2 leather seats.

Burnie5204 7th Apr 2013 10:05

And Jet2 livery too.

Been repainted white with all the Jet2 text on top in red

As a pilot who has operated both Boeing & Airbus aircraft, I know which I'd rather have. And it isn't the 'Winged Renault'.

Electron tsar 7th Apr 2013 11:30

Anybody heard anything with regards to NWI opening as a base?

757 Speedbrakes 7th Apr 2013 13:07

DADDY-OH! :

Here here!

Just a shame the bean counters at Boeing didn't allow a 737 / 757 all new replacement using new technology from the 787.

Nothing new yet that will replace the 75 for performance / load / distance. No one say 'what about the A321 or 737-900' please!

Sorry to go off topic there.

theloudone 7th Apr 2013 16:50

As an engineer, the old Ford pick up truck is getting to labour intensive now, and let`s face it, a bit behind the times?

DADDY-OH! 7th Apr 2013 22:12

theloudone

I don't see why it should be. TOM, DHL, AWC, & TCX all seem to manage to keep a decent despatch rate. Access to spares & high quality engineers should be able to keep these unique aircraft in the air generating profits & offering unparalleled flexibility.

bluepilot 7th Apr 2013 23:06

the only aircraft to replace a 757 is a 757........period

JET2/SEN

737-800 still in austrian airlines colours(GGD-FP) having engine tests today at SEN airport

SWBKCB 14th Apr 2013 07:47

Jet2 seem to be subbing in a lot of a/c for so early in the season - was this planned or are the expected new a/c arriving later than anticipated?

chaps2011 14th Apr 2013 08:22

JetTime B737 at Manchester today

Chaps

SCANDIC 17th Apr 2013 09:16

Its ok getting all these aircraft but a lot of them are constantly tech especially the 737-800.

MKY661 19th Apr 2013 20:31

Jet2 have cancelled the proposed delivery of the two Ex. Bmibaby 737-300's. Why I have no idea :(

The Eternal JP 20th Apr 2013 14:45

Lack of pilots?

LBIA 23rd Apr 2013 17:19

Jet2 have today confirmed that it will start flying to Fuerteventura as from Friday, April 4th 2014 with weekly flights from been offered from Leeds/Bradford, Manchester and Glasgow.

LAX_LHR 23rd Apr 2013 17:26

Manchester increases to 2 weekly from the peak summer period.

757 Speedbrakes 23rd Apr 2013 20:02

NCL left out again. Could easily go head to head with Tommy Crook on a few of their routes including FUE. Ah well, I'm sure those with large Dart Group shares know what they're doing!

HH6702 23rd Apr 2013 20:17

Ncl

Newcastle may get added later in the year. They have picked airports with the biggest scope to get the planes filled

Glasgow for Scotland
Leeds for the north of England
Manchester for the midlands although I would have thought Ema would have worked better

Maybe if sales are good they add other uk dept points

Remember they may still be bidding for work off tcx and Tom for summer 2014 so at the minute tomson and Thomas cook may be off FUE but with LS as the airline that's why jet2 are now offering the flights and holidays

LBIA 26th Apr 2013 20:18

Looks like Jet2 maybe leasing a 2nd aircraft from Titan Airways this summer.

Boeing 757-200, G-ZAPX is to be based Manchester operating flights Thursday to Mondays but it now looks like the Airbus A320, G-POWI is also to be based up at Newcastle operating flights from 8th May to 15th September as well.

More like Manchester for the North West than the Midlands, though the likes of Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford all fall into MAN's catchment area. LBA is more aimed to Yorkshire/Humber/Lincolnshire/North East England.

ematom1 27th Apr 2013 01:43

What's the 4th based aircraft at East Midlands? Currently there's a 757, 737-800 and a 737-300 but there has been alot of 757s operating instead of the 737-300

Which flights will the A320 operate? Anyone has a full weekly schedule for it?

EMA is (or should be) 2x 733, 1x 738 (lsf TVS) and 1x 752.

BFS-LEEDS

Anyone here know when Jet2 will put BFS-LEEDS on sale for the winter? Or is it dropped?

Electron tsar 30th Apr 2013 03:37

When is the russian contract getting signed? Will they need cover out there?

Lsflyer 30th Apr 2013 12:52

Which russian contract? i've not heard about that?

onyxcrowle 30th Apr 2013 22:02

Jet 2 Stpetersburg or Mosco?.
Hopefully Jet 2 from Dsa or Huy or better still both
Dsa-Ams, Prauge, Paris, Geneva.
Bfs, Tenerife and naybe Cork or Edi. ( if they did Dsa ops).
Just a thought.
After all Dsa hinted at an imminent new route to a hub airport

Charlie98 1st May 2013 18:14

I really don't think the above will ever be considered by Jet2 :p
