I know several who are delaying booking European flights until there is more certainty about BREXIT - perhaps winter bookings show that and are reflected in the summer advanced offering

Our bookings are up at my airline (not easyjet) on this time last year also and We have added extra aircraft to some of our bases to meet demand I really can’t see all aircraft grounded at uk and European airports on day one of Brexit it’s a farcical thought.

The simple fact is though, that until some agreement is reached that is what will happen to flights between the UK and the EU. There will be no legal framework for them to operate. There's a lot to be done in a short time.

Please don’t make this into a political battle field, The EU and the UK won’t stop flights it would be to damaging for both parties, What next No European reg aircraft allowed to fly into British airspace and we can’t fly other their’s.

Seriously though, I would guess that there will need to be some formal regulatory agreement to enable UK registered aircraft to fly in EU airspace. I think it's unlikely that this won't happen but the PM keeps saying that "no deal is better than a bad deal". I think that is why so many 'UK based' airlines are setting up EU subsidiaries any may eventually become EU member owned.

Thats good news. The EU is booming economically at the moment and UK is still in the EU of course so I would expect good growth. I believe a lot of traffic for the LCCs comes from EU national students/workers. If the UK were to impose visa requirements and red tape preventing them working/studying in the UK I could see that market drying up quickly.

Purely anecdotally, with our work in London my wife and I meet lots of EU people (excl UK), and every single one has been mentally preparing a Plan B should it all go wrong. There's already lots of movement as these plans are concocted I think. Every single one of these are white collar employees / self employed etc. The blue collar workers, about whom everyone seems most antagonistic, are ironically the ones most determined to stay on. I've no idea if planes will stop flying during this "s**tstorm". But the amount of distress to people's lives is already hideous

Brexit
My gut feel on Brexit based on experience so far is that May and her ministers will talk tough until the last moment and then cave in to whatever the EU want. The EU have been clear all along it is either Norway (going along with EU rules, regs and paying in) or Canada (with NI split off). Its Tory conference week after next so don't expect any sense for now but I think the politics points to the Norway model in which case it will be business as usual.
