These are remaining in the fleet; two of the ones that were due to leave had their leases re-negotiated (I believe G-FBJI and G-FBJJ), would assume they'll go through the same cabin refurbishment and repainting as the Q400s although it will be interesting to see where Virgin Connect use them on the network.

195's
Jethro's site listed G-FBEK as being WFU 04 March 2020 (and G-FBEJ on 14 January 2020) so maybe just being used as the BHX standby aircraft from now on? Would be sensible, really, since if they scheduled it on the network and it went tech and they'd booked 118 passengers on it, there's no other E195 in the fleet to take over from it. So minimum 30 passengers would be left-behind.

Interesting information re the 175's with the lease renewals and I hope on better terms!!!
The 175's are split 6 (BHX) and 3 (MAN) at the moment with one arrived back in BHX from Exeter and another from Manchester.

Stobart have resumed flying part of the IOM route schedule, with one of the ex-BE ATR72-600's appearing as EI-GPP. It is operating LPL and BHX rotations.
IOM-MAN continues with BE Q400, for the time being.

You're right of course but the problem is away they've gone about putting a stop to it. Publish your hand luggage rules, then allow people to ignore them for a long time, then suddenly start applying the rules without any notice and in a haphazard and inconsistent manner - asking for trouble.
There is a concept spread quite widely in English contract law (ie not criminal law) that if a person wishes to claim rights to something, then they need to be seen to trying in good faith to defend those rights on a regular basis. No, not just 'put in the small print' but actively say 'No' to people when those rights are being breached. Doesn't apply to everything, but one can't allow 9 people to take liberties over your rights and then get upset when the 10th person claims those same liberties

I'm sorry that the latest announcement leaves many of the ground staff/office workers in a difficult position and uncertain about redundancies. Makes thoughts of slight schedule changes and paint schemes seem unimportant ...

Well it was actually couched the other way - flight crew, cabin staff and engineers will be safe during a period of reductions in head count starting very soon.

You would have had to be pretty naive to think that there wouldn't be job losses (especially in head office functions) when you've essentially got 3 airline head offices in Crawley, Exeter and Dublin all to do with Virgin Connect.....

I was advised by a member of staff at SOU airport last week, that tomorrow is the big announcement day for Virgin Connect, their future plans, additional summer routes etc. Does anyone else know anything further???
Any update on any big announcements?

Saying that I still think this is very poor from a Customer relationship/comms perspective.
It's not unreasonable that people want to book flights on NQY's most important route after 28th March!

100% with you and iv been right there at the front of the queue bartering both NQY and BE
its quite frankly pathetic.
lets get EIr twice daily to optimize connections via Dublin and that way the messing around with BE at LHR is somewhat mitigated for those wanting to connect onward.
