Cool

This information is based on the latest data available at the time of publishing. Flights can be subject to alteration at short notice and you should check with your travel agent or airline before finalising your arrangements.
Actually nothing has been decided which terminal CX will use yet. T2 most likely mentioned as that is where they used to operate. T2 or 3 are being discussed.

it does technically mean CX now operate out of 2 terminals given the codeshares with BA.
I think for the few peeps flying HKG-MAN-LHR on days where LHR availability is stacked, they can suck it up rather than try and get a B77W out of the old domestic pier. although BA used to fly a split load on LGW-MAN-ISB from 44 on the B744 as I recall.

And lets not forget the days of the bmi base where there were 3xA332, as well as the BA and AA B767's. Granted they didn't have 7 based Ryanair B737's and well as the KLM/Air France flights which are a B737 and A321 respectively to contend with however....

According to a friend the new MAN-JFK/MIA flights are on sale in a co-op store in Liverpool. I have asked him to get the details if he can.

Also hearing that Thomson have been happy with the performance on LGW-HKT holidays so are looking to introduce it from MAN in 2015.

I wonder if that Condor 767 will also serve JFK and/or MIA, as I believe Condor currently serve the latter themselves from Germany?

I think TCX need to recalculate the times for MAN-MIA. As it stands now the flying time westbound is 7 hours 25 minutes and the eastbound flight 10 hours 50 minutes. The times for JFK flights are more spot on with 7:25 westbound and 6:20 eastbound.

LN-KGL, I've suggested on the Thomas Cook thread that adding 2 hours to the arrival and departure times at Miami might make the schedules about right.

Im sure the technicalities of flight times will be addressed, as judging by the prices and lack of visibility in 3rd party and GDS systems, there is still some work to be done.

At least Miami will once again grace the MAN departure boards and JFK has some much needed capacity added.

I personally think that now, the long haul network ex-MAN is probably the healthiest it has been for a long long time.

GDS availability

The problem with all GDS systems, as far as I am aware, is that they can only show availabilty up to somewhere in the region of 330 days ahead. I am sure that LAX_LHR knows more about the actual timescale than me. Additionally all airlines that I know of only have one specific season on sale at a time (with definite schedule), so Summer 2015 is only fully loaded once Summer 2014 is closed.

I accept that my information may be out of date and look forward to being corrected if necessary.

Sholto,

That is correct. Most GDS display 330 days in advance, its usually only the tour operators that put flights on sale 1 year or more in advance.

Vickers.

These are not cruise charters, not even sure where that idea comes in to be honest.

These are quasi charter/scheduled flights along the lines of Condor so quite valid reasons to get 'excited'.

Mind you, I suppose some will never be totally happy.......

Hopefully with these Thomas Cook flights it won't just be Manchester originating pax, maybe they will be pulling in passengers from Aberdeen, IOM , Belfast etc.

Has anybody checked the potential Flybe connections in terms of both outbound/inbound times ?
