With the current rumours that BE management have been visiting BFS, could BHD really survive without them? Correct me if I'm wrong but i don't think EI and EIR have enough aircraft/ right size of aircraft to cover BEs network from Belfast

Flybe aren't moving to BFS i can confirm that 
, why would they even move to BFS as they have a big base at BHD. I cant say why they where in but they aren't moving anytime soon.

Agreed that EI/EIR probably wouldn't have enough aircraft or the right mix to take over all or most of BE's routes - however, what about BA or even BACF. Now that BA are at BHD, they are probably looking at developing their presence there - what better way to do that than maybe looking at key routes such as MAN, BHX and GLA, for instance.
All this is speculation anyway until Flybe make some announcement if it is their intention to move.

BFS BHD I'm not going to argue you clearly know all. But with the big plans that EI and EIR have for BHD some one has to lose, there isn't room for them both. I could be completely wrong but EI have obviously been enticed down by a good deal, a deal I recon that is far better than what BE have

Not core, too marginal, too risky and the domain of low cost airlines or Flybe who they have an interest in, albeit a small one that was incidental to them off loading BA Connect.
I would rule them out.

1) Feed long haul LHR from short haul
2) Maintain long haul LGW in profit and sort out short haul or close
3) Feed IB long haul at MAD from London
Regional point to point flying is most certainly NOT in there. BA CityFlyer is niche and point to point London focussed, and not part of mainline BA. Regional routes proved unsustainable and unprofitable for BA and were all closed less than five years ago in a sell off to flybe.

Anybody here know how bookings are looking on the BHX route for when they go head to head with EZY? Could we see them drop the route?
Has pax numbers drop on MAN since EZY started it aswell?

So flybe would go from 7 flights a day each way to 0 because easyjet are offering 2? It's not long since Baby were doing it thrice a day also.
Maybe they'll down grade a few Embraers to Dashes for the winter schedule but that'll be all.

What are the chances we will see BA cityflyer launch a LCY route, I obv don't know the numbers but if they can manage a IOM-LCY why not BHD, they have the resources in Belfast already and with the rumour that BE is to drop LGW and no Luton or stansted route from BHD I'm sure there is space in the London market
