I would imagine Ryanair are best placed to decide if this route was "doing very nicely" - whether it was or not might be connected to their decision to drop it...

The statement on the Bournemouth Echo website says "The airport group spokesperson told the Daily Echo: “Ryanair will not be losing any destinations but the frequency will be reduced. Overall there will be 300,000 more seats for 2015 from Bournemouth Airport.”

So if that is true, Carcassonne and all the other routes will be on sale soon. I hope so since I want to go there for our anniversary!

I think they are referring the new Flybe routes in regards to the extra seats.

Bournemouth handled 18 , 207 passengers in December down 12 % on last year mainly due to the reduction of the Ryanair wnter flying programme

A mixed bag again

Thomson

Turin 542 181 pax
Las Palmas 1306 131 pax
Tenerife 2997 167 pax
Sharm el sheik 681 85 pax ( terrible loads and has ended early )

Ryanair

Alicante 2431 174 pax
Malaga 2717 151 pax
Tenerife 1039 130 pax

Easy Jet Geneva

3516 126 pax

The Berne ski charters have been cancelled in Jan / Feb no real surprise there as poorly adertised and no one has heard really of Top ski

Not sure if Ryanair are in fact planning to add the routes they took off from last summer as still nothing on web site and they need to get a move on soon if they wont to start selling seats

Flybe should give BOH a big boost next winter, and hopefully lead to an end of having just one or two flights on many days!

The usual once a month report on nothing much really at Bournemouth !

Handled 20 , 847 passengers in January down again 2% on last year

Ryanair had good loads on there 3 services

Alicante 3175 176 pax
Malaga 2591 162 pax
Tenerife 1884 157 pax

Thomson

Turin 1163 145 pax
Arrecife 1445 181 pax
Las palmas 1162 145 pax
Tenerife 2844 158 pax

Easy jet to Geneva

5676 135 pax

Looks increasingly like that Ryanair will only operate to 9 destinations this summer as nearly a month since last reported and nothing extra added

P &O cruises have added another Barbados flight for next year in March taking it to 2 departures

Most routes look particularly strong - is the 2% decrease due to the Dublin route no longer being operated?

Does anyone know how Flybe bookings are looking for the summer?

Ryanair Flights

Does anybody know if Ryanair have dropped the FUE from BOH route for 2015. I moved to Fuerteventura last May from Poole and would like to come back and visit family. Many thanks in advance

FUE is not being operated in 2015 by Ryanair or Thomson, although TFS/LPA are if that helps!

BRS easy

Probably shouldn't say this on the bmth thread but BRS is so much quicker and stress free to arrive at than LGW... The drive time is about the same although roads bend a bit more!

BRS must be sucking up a huge catchment area.

BOH is still underutilised though for the catchment it serves.

I would assume Ryanair's promise of the dropped routes returning is one that has been broken, seems a little late to release them all now!

Yes it does look like Ryanair are only operating the 9 routes this summer as no sign at all of anything else on sale very surprised at this but i am also guessing its lack of aircraft availability

Few comments on the Flybe thread that BOH sales are not selling very well , its hard to see that until at least a couple of days before hand , as most people dont purchase seats at £ 7 a pop on short flights that are being operated from BOH until they are allocated them when check in opens the previous day ?

The P & O charters are selling well with 2 of the 4 Genoa flights already sold out , also noticed very limited availability on the Ryanair flights to Alicante this March

You can also judge the booking level by the price of the flights which look very low when compared to Southampton at similar times/dates
