Bournemouth handled 69 , 773 passengers in October the same as last year
Good end of season loads on all flights with Thomson and Ryanair continued into November for the first week to cover school holidays no doubt
Thompson have unexpectedly cancelled the Sharm El Sheik route from the beginning of Jan on a Thursday for the rest of the season , very strange as loads in Oct when it started again after a 2 yr gap was in the region of 150 pax per flight
They have been a bit hit and miss with Bournemouth recently with full flights but no real expansion and chopping the Endifia route next summer after only giving the route 2 months on sale and now Sharm
With Ryanair not operating to some Greek Islands next yr this could have been to Thomson benefit with Chania or Heraklion returning ?

Cargo
Does anyone have up to date stats on Cargo throughput at BOH or know where I can get it? Not sure I can navigate the CAA website too well as I can't find anything there.
I'm intrigued that cargo has always done so well from BOH in terms of the frequency and consistency of services through the years. The aircraft doing the work have increased in size over recent times so I am assuming the tonnage has also increased? It used to be around 10,000 tonnes per year in the 1990's.

Take a look at mail too
BOH has a relatively strong history and profile of freight and mail, that broadly follows uk trends. The airport is more significant in UK freight tables than its pax performance.

The mail and newspaper flights to the Channel Islands have been a factor for more than 30 years, as well as uk domestic mail begun in 1980, and pure freight flights to the Mid East in particular.

Southampton or Bournemouth? This is the Bournemouth thread.
Dublin airport's press release indicated that Bournemouth will also have connection offering to the states although the timings are not so conducive to that.

Sharklet, I made a post a few day previous that interlining with Air France/KLM and Aer Lingus must occur. Without these, the routes would not be fulfilling their true potential.

Agreed.
Flybe is showing Aberdeen, Nice, Madrid, Vienna, Edinburgh, Belfast, Zurich and Guernsey (among others) with very good connection times from BOH - check out the drop down menu.
Certainly there is significant time saving - taking a Flybe connection from BOH - rather than driving to one of the London airports, so I think this will really assist.

Forward bookings
It's way too early for any significant indication of forward bookings. Note that Ryanair said in a trading update this week that November was very good, bookings for December strong, but there is very little visibility with advance bookings beyond the new year across their entire network. Flybe unlikely to be very different.
See the Ryanair press release for details, last paragraph mentions forward bookings.

Second aircraft
We all certainly hope so ! If not it means the dropping of FUE, 2 x IBZ,2 x PSA, RHO, CHQ, ACE, 2 x CCF, 1 x TFS & 2/3 x GRO.
How can it make sense to battle all through the recession with steadily increasing routes and Pax numbers and then dump them all just as things start to brighten up ?
I just can't bring myself to believe that Ryanair intend to pull off these routes after so much work has been put into them, they wouldn't have kept them going these past years if they weren't making money.
Having operated these routes for the past six/seven years I can certainly say they have been no quieter than the ones already bookable. The load factors are always high and we all thought they have been even higher this season.
Fingers crossed for an announcement soon along with the year round opening of the Ryanair Bournemouth base !

According to an MAG spokesperson it has been confirmed that the Ryanair frequency of some services will be reduced but the number of destinations served from Bournemouth will remain the same
Ryanair have said they are still finalising the Bournemouth summer 2015 schedule and it will be released soon
The November passenger figures reflect the start of the winter with 20 , 644 passengers . The drop of ACE , LPA and 1 less TFS flight by Ryanair reflect this
Ryanair loads
Alicante 3598 164 pax
Malaga 2892 161 pax
Tenerife 147 pax
Good to see a full ramp for a change last night with the LGW runway closure
2 x Norwegian B738 !st div visits
1 x Thomson B738
!x British Airways A319
1x British Airways A320
plus the usual based Thomson B738
