Will we be able to book seats on the DC3?
Congratulations to Emirates too, long may it continue, and the transition from 733 to ATR on the ORK route only actually represents a drop of 8 seats per week, but I'm sure we'll see them pick up soon, there's a lot of advertising being done.

I had a peek inside the new Servisair Aspire lounge last week and I have to say it looks very impressive! It seems as though Emirates Business Class pax get to use the "inner" premium lounge, but anyone else can pay to upgrade into there - the only differences being it is adults only and obviously smaller therefore in theory quieter.
Flying Hippo and the Beer House are also open now in departures (and have been for around a month now), and have always looked well populated when I have passed through.

Doubt it - the current rules and regs prohibit the use of any DC-3 inEurope carrying paying passengers - it needs a hi-jack resistant door and a door slide (I kid you not)
I think Atlantic's Farewell Tour a couple of years back was the last one you could buy seats on - I managed to get an hour on one and it was BLOODY MARVELOUS

DC3
Perhaps I am wrong but I thought that the CAA had relaxed the regulation concerning the DC3 following negotiations with Air Atlantique and that they were making plans to return them to passenger service.
Willing to be corrected.

Yeah I flew on G-AMPY from NCL too, it was absolutely brilliant, but you can book on the DDA DC3 on their website for flights in and around the Benelux area (and Germany).
There is a competition to win flights on the DC3 from HUY, NWI, NCL or MME in June as well, run through the Daily Mail which I have entered so I'm pretty confused, I hope they do go on sale, I'd like to guarantee a flight on it.

I can't answer why they used the a320 smart lynx for the first Larnaca flight. however, the a321 is due to run the Wednesday Thomas cook flight to Larnaca throughout the summer season. 8 weeks till I'm on that flight aboard the new a321

It is mainly for their own shop staff and select 3rd party agents. It may be because we usually get a lot of complaints about how "tatty" the interiors were, so what better way than to show agents first hand.... I was invited but tbh was on the B767 last month from Manchester which has the new seats so I turned them down as I have other things on anyway.

I believe it is due to be a new A321 (G-TCDF) which positioned in from Manchester earlier. As mentioned, it is a travel agent fam flight...good PR from TCX to help their agents push the product, it shows high confidence in it from the airline side of the operation.

The rest of the April stats have now been published with
Gatwick 10,075 up 52% EZY first month ex Flybe
Bristol 15,239 up 9%
Jersey 2080 up 2%
It looks like EZY are going to make Gatwick work better than Flybe with less flights albeit with a larger aircraft.
