what happened to GLA-SFB today anyone? They did sooooo well over the summer with this flight and now that we are getting to the winter it is starting to go back to the bad old days.

p.s. I am not slagging them off, I am a huge supporter of them-I just wish that flight wouldn't get delayed so much :-(

p.p.s. Where has all this talk came from of globespan taking somone or something over? Is it just pure speculation or does someone have any hard facts??

SFB Delays

Aircraft was late back from maintenance which causes knock on delays. Should be back on schedule from tomorrow when the aircraft has a down day.

GSM Scot - do you have any info on the GSM flight from Sanford to Glasgow on Saturday 4th October?

We're due to return on that flight. However, although our booking still shows the return flight on the 4th, the return flights on both 3/10 and 4/10 are no longer on the Globespan timetable.

I did phone customer services and they said the flight was still scheduled for the 4th.

I'm guessing (hoping??) that it's because the 767 originally scheduled is being replaced with a 757 and these flights are now full.

Davyday:

Stop being a tw@.

The industry is suffering enough without your ill informed scare-mongering. Remember, people actually work for GSM and have bills to pay. Try and keep your little "news flashes" to your self.

Mr Gammon Flaps, I totally agree with you!

I understand that this is a rumours network, But what has been mentioned is absolute nonsense.

Anyone can sit on this thread and make up any story they like, however, to come up with such a ridiculous comment at times like these is just unacceptable.

DAVYDAY:

If it is "hot off the press" then cut and paste the article for us all to see.

I hear what you are saying and I understand why you are saying it.

I am bursting from the inside to tell people what I heard today about a major well known tour operator/Airline in the UK, which has been operating for 30+ years.

My source of the infomation is from a good friend in the finance department who has told me not to book with the well know Airline/tour company (which is not GSM) !
as thing are so bad they dont see lasting after this November.

The problem I have now is if I say anything I will be shot down by people on here saying Im making it up or by saying it I caused it to happen.

So just gonna keep my mouth shut I think.

P.S this is 100% NOT about Fly globespan.

so people wishing to post about airlines in trouble should not post at all in my view.

I understand that this is a rumours forum, however I did hear from a very reliable source that various travel agencies/tour operators have been advised to cease the sale of Globespans flights/product with immediate effect just as they were tipped off with the same information regarding Zoom/XL. Dont shoot the messenger, just passing on what I heard!

Because I was reading with Intrest what people had to say and how people reply (scare-mongering) etc.

With oil prices now dropping towards $90 a barrel and two of their main competitors (Zoom and XL) gone bust I think GSM are in a very strong position to survive, worst case senario they may have to cut some routes but I think that will be it.
