Are there any GSM staff on these boards? I would like to know if MME has definately been pulled for 2009. Looking at their schedules they are only flying from GLA,EDI,ABZ and BEL so are they generally contracting? This certainly wont occupy the current fleet even with the 733s gone. Does anyone have a contact e-mail address for GSM?

What is on sale at the momentm will use all 4 B73H, 1 B738, 2 B73W and 1 B763. This leaves the B752 and the 2 B763 for other the Canadian flights

Hard to tell from what Globespan have been saying if they are planning to return to MME or are just waiting longer to say there leaving. Its becuase they have mostly all there routes from EDI,GLA & ABZ on sale but none for MME thats bringing out all this suspicion.

Is there spare a/c for flights out of MME?

Not at the moment. But what if...... the leasing company offer the -300s back to us so cheap that we can't resist????? Then we might see tix being sold after the planes are supposed to go back in Jan!

Looks as if Jet2 are taking a leaf out of Globespans book. On thee route map is showing a new route from Leeds to Dunbrovnik bookable on there website no announcements yet.

When you think GSM will make there decision about MME? Theres so much talk on the MME forum you don't know what to think.

Your guess is as good as any's. Think problem is actually with whether there is an aircraft for them from next Jan. The 733's go then you see! Some think they know but don't want to tell staff for fear of mass exodus. Others think they simply do not know final answer yet. I fear it's the former but would be delighted in being proved wrong. Would be a shame as it has a peach of a workforce at MME. Great attitudes and lets be honest, the planes are hardly empty. There's a good little customer base as long as you stick to bucket and spade brigade. Without a Jet though you don't get very far do you

Still running reactionary delays from that rather large tropical storm of the past few days....

Glad I wasn't around SFB for that one!

G-OTDA strikes again, departed MME at 1630 and developed an undercarraige problem after 30 mins? It returned but during the descent was sent to Glasgow where it landed at 1800pm.

It is a total dog

Were the passengers from MME last night switched straight away to another a/c in GLA or made to wait?

When do you think the canadian programe will be launched?

Had to wait in Glasgow overnight (were they given a hotel?) and left this morning on an -800 to Alicante. OTDA arrived back in MME at lunchtime to start this morning's flight - and the whole programme is subsequently running 7hrs or so late today.

The money we saved from the paltry fine handed out for abusing the MEL can go to paying for the repair. A similar incident with similar damage was very nearly the undoing of one of the companies i worked at previously. I do hope we haven't tried to cut any corners with insurance in the same manner.
