We'd better hope 757 gets it's ETOPS approval back before Winter 08 then........... or it'll be tech stopping all over again !

As predicted, I hear the union have told the cabin crew not to do Airport standby. Without the facilities, they are illegal.

We got to YYC on time today by pinching PT from the SFB route. They set off 5 hours late, but as there's more down time on that route, the schedule should catch up much quicker!

PS. This calgary hotel is very reminiscant of the Overlook Hotel from The Shining!

Sorry for my ignorance, but what does pinching PT mean?

I know it is probably obvious but I am tired!!

Thanks

Taking G-CDPT from the SFB route, and swapping G-CEOD onto the SFB route. The YVR flights are a lot tighter scheduled than the SFB flights, which has 5 hours rest at SFB.

Operating Short-haul routes as Flyglobespan are only going to have around 7 or 9 a/c in the fleet W08.

B752 will operate shorthaul, B733s will be leaving fleet start of 09. Leaves only 2 B736s, 2 B7NGs, 5 B738s (1 still with Omanair).

When will Flyglobespan have to place an order to the ILFC for new 737's to replace the 2 733's and maybe the 2 736's that left for the begining of S09?

Man-sfb ?

Hi Guys,

Do any of you think that , in the future , GSM would consider a Manchester -Sanford route ? or is this route already saturated with carriers .

Thanks

Hey- TFAME - You don't happen to be an ex-747 pilot for Travel City are you?

If you are you don't happen to know where their 747's went to???

At the risk of exciting all the Globespan haters does anyone know what their fuel hedging policy/status is?

Think it's hedged for S08 and three-quarter hedged for W08.

thanks, that kind of helps me make up my mind, was thinking about postponing an YVR until 09 but think I'll go ahead on the basis that the 09 cost base has to be vastly different!

The Which Best & Worst Airlines of the Year

Well done FlyGlobespan in the Which magazine Best & Worst Airlines of the Year survey.
FlyGlobespan in the Long-haul airlines listing, out of 42 airlines came 38th with a Customer Satisfaction Score of 37%.
FlyGlobespan in the Short-haul airlines listing, out of 43 airlines came 27th with a Customer Satisfaction Score of 53%.
Now with all your problems with Long-haul you still managed to put MyTravel into 39th place with a CSS of 35% and Thomas Cook Airlines into 40th place with a CSS of 34%. Hell they must be bad.
In the Short-haul you beat my company by 4 places and by 3%, with all the main UK charter operators below you.
