Tonyq- How rude can you get?

Flitefone sent you an answer to your question, also if Jethros isnt "on the web" then i don't know what is.

Jethros is practically always accurate therefore a good source.

From what I've heard, JER-CDG isn't getting great loads. Don't know about the others.

Eastern Wiseguy,
Do it with ANY sort of regularity and they will CEASE to be FREQUENT.
Over the past three months I've flown well over a hundred sectors. Seven of these flights have been delayed. The longest delay was half an hour. No cancellations.

As Bertolt Brecht famously said "What's breaking into a bank compared with founding a bank?"

TonyQ,

I'm not sure where this info has come from but Flybe have not ordered anymore Q400's as yet. The order announced just happens to be the same numbers (17 firm + 20 options) as the last order that Flybe placed with Bombardier so the story has simply been spun again and published without checking by Airliner World.

The total number of Q400's on order is 65 total but you can bet your life that with the Q400 finding considerable favour in the light of high oil prices, Flybe will be evaluating their fleet options.

Thanks for that great answer, confirming that the order book is still 65, but also explaining where AW got the 17+20 numbers from, even if they were recycling old news.

Cheers

Records

Flybe P.R. seems to have convinced some fans, including their employees some of whom have problems with spelling drivel as well as plurals (or are they plural's, Whispering Giant?).
Another question above was: 'what business-traveller wants to overnight when they can return home in the evening?'
The obvious answer is: not many but it isn't possible on EXT-LBA and, worse still on many days, now impossible to return the next day.
BTW 'Record', or any, profits are historic and prove nothing about the present state of the business. The fact is that Flybe are cutting back on many routes.

In other words you know nothing but are prepared to make non specific statements which you would have pass off as truisms. You are looking at the reshuffling of routes and extrapolating in a facile manner which betrays real lack of insight on your behalf. Howsabout you leave this forum to the adults?

Civil aviation - this is'nt a spelling or grammer excercise !! you just talk complete and utter rubbish that you try and pass off as fact !!

I see from your profile that your a ex-journo i guess the fact that your a EX-JOURNO is the fact that you just talk complete and utter rubbish and they got rid of you and then you made a hash of being a PR exec so you've gone into retirement.

You really have absolutly NO understanding of the way either Business work's and inparticular the airline industry and as normal with most Journo's you only bother with half the fact's and go off at a tangent at that.

Online timetable

Looks as if the previous warning re the online timetable is justified.

Aircraft types don't match to the booking engine or amadeus.

As I have previously posted I have been checking the 2nd E195 routes from BHX with it showing double daily Milan in the timetable but booking
engine shows MXP/CDG/DUS.

I suppose I will just have to wait and see.

Very little to worry about at BHX re the new FR routes, I suppose
Londonderry might take a few away BHD but I doubt very many.

Seems as if FR are more interested in having a go at baby & ZB
for now!

More Cuts Coming?

Last Thursday's EXT-LBA had only about 30 and that is after Tuesdays and Wednesdays were dumped about a month ago. At the risk of inciting the FUSC (Flybe United Suporters Club), I suggest both operator and their customers are losing confidence in the route.
Apart from the lack of frequency, could this be improved with a continuation/rotation to somewhere in Scotland?

I see from the Flybe timetable LBA-EXT is increasing to 6 times per week in July. However, When looking at route performance, as someone who works for an airline, although not Flybe, it really is better to look at longer periods such as a month rather than one particular flight, may I suggest CAA stats for a more informative guide to how a route is performing rather than how it was on a particular day when you flew on it.
