You forgot IOM/LPL which is 3 or 4 daily, depending upon the day of week, but regains an evening return rotation, lost when Euromanx collapsed.
The FlyBe Connections service offers some good through connections to INV, JER, GCI, NWI etc and the associated fares are pretty good, at least while both sectors are available at the cheaper rates, even allowing for add-ons.

Seems there will be some changes for the GCI/JER-CDG flights, the aircraft now seems to operate NWI-GCI-JER-CDG-JER-GCI-NWI, so NWI pax now have to go via gci and jer to cdg, gci now gets a daily service, and jer gets a reduction in capacity, so a few positives and a couple of negatives.

Dublin to GCi
It's a bit annoying that not long after starting the Dublin GCI route they have already dropped the thursday flight to GCI from Dublin. This has right royally cocked up a trip that we had booked with flybe for the in-laws!
So they push Blue Islands of the route then drop the frequency

is there really sufficiant customers to warrent another operator flying NQY-LGW ?
currently we have 4x WOW (Winter) / x5 (summer) using dh8-300
1 x BA using 737-300/500 /A320
wouldnt of thought that it needed more flights but im willing to be proved wrong!
unless someone is trying to either get WOW or BA off the route

Air Southwest have the flexibility on times throughout the day but are usually VERY expensive. Okay..Okay, the £39.00 fares can be found BUT who books flights to London from Cornwall 6 months in advance? Some do, but I bet most bookings are looked into closer to the time.
BA have the cheaper fares but have butt ugly flight timings, and therefore crap connections onto their LGW network.
Could/Would Flybe operate some suitably timed flights to connect onto, say for example the new BA LGW-JFK flight that starts shortly. I'm unsure on how far Flybe and BA codeshares work in that sense...

That is what Flybe are good at!
They have done the same thing on the IOM
Eastern operated quite nicely on the IOM - SOU until Flybe appeared and guess what they have now dropped it for the winter.
They have stopped and started LBA -ABZ again
How long is the Inverness base going to last when they can not fill the Dash 400 up economically?
People be careful when you invite this lot in for short term gains, it nearly always ends in tears

Off on your usual anti- flybe agenda. flybe have started 150 new routes in 5 years like Easy and Ryan they get about 10% wrong. INV is going very well on both a yeild and pax basis according to the figures (Pax -CAA) and breifings I have heard. Eastern leave routes because they can't compete with Flybe. It's aviation- get over it.

Flybe Pilot Emergency
A Flybe aircraft has just apparently been towed off runway/taxiway at Manchester due to the pilot becoming incapacitated. Reports are pilot has been taken to hospital.
Does anyone have any further information on this?

Guern, Would I be correct in saying that the Guernsey-Dublin flight which has been cancelled is for the 11th September? If so, I think you will find it is because of the Battle of Britain Air Display. The flight appears to be operating normally on all other Thursdays.

If it is just because of the Air Display they should surely have just made that date not available to book as the air display date is published at least a year in Advance! Our visitors only booked a few weeks ago on the Flybe website.
Shame they didn't explain that on the phone to our visitors when they phoned them to say flight was cancelled!! They said on the phone that frequency was being reduced so if it is just a one off for the air display maybe they need to retrain their staff.
Also the flight isn't due to arrive in GCI until 15:45 and the Air Display finishes by 13:00 so still not sure why they can't operate the flight that arrives some two hours forty five minutes later at a relativley quite part of the day at GCI!
Aurigny still seem to be operating all their flights that arrive in GCI from UK on that day including their flight that arrives in GCI from LGW at 13:35 some two hours earlier than the Flybe Dublin Flight.
Don't get me wrong I fully support the air display as I love watching it and always give cash to the collectors as I believe in supporting the forces charities.

Probably inappropriately posted on Blue Island (though in fairness the BBC did have a Blue Island talking head burbling about turboprops):
Fascinating contrast between the BBC & ITV reporting on the local news this evening - the BBC basically a piece of lazy Flybe spin:
ITV - Flybe withdrawing 146 from GCI-LGW (worries over cabin fumes - I'm sure that was not in the Flybe script) replaced with Q400 - Flybe pointing out that they would have put in the Embraer, but could not because of runway weight restrictions. Then spat over withdrawal of Flybe GCI-MCR with Flybe saying 'its seasonal', Aurigny 'disgraceful - need to provide a service to the Bailiwick'.
How much of that was in the BBC report? None:
BBC - 'Local airlines addressing rising fuel costs by introducing more fuel efficient aircraft' - with eulogies to advantages of turboprops - no mention of jet service withdrawal. Very lazy "journalism".
