Thom pax onto TCX aircraft
'They managed to check 90 odd' pax onto the TCX 320, Just how many of TCX's passengers were booked on the TCX 320 in the first place, that tells a story!, where are all those pax that want to fly from CWL, but are unable to due lack of capacity of seats available from CWL.

Mothballs ???
Another sad sight, a load of baggage carts parked up on Southside this morning. Presumably not needed now until S09, or later or is there an op reason - we can hope it's just that ? ? ? Still, it blocks the sight of the now closed Highwayman pub out.

I'm not sure about this, I heared something about the airport wanting to charge for the use of their baggage trailers so now the handling agent has brought their own in from Gatwick.
It's better they are pasrked over there as there is a lack of equipment parking bay's. Where down the south side are they parked?

The inbound flight was full. Considering there is no return flight in a weeks time, they did well to sell one way flight only, or worked it to fit 11 day holiday pax onto the Tuesday return flight, for about 70 TCX pax. Otherwise it would have positioned back to TFS empty.
So yes.. it does tell a story... a commercial story, that in the end, happened to work out extemely well in TCX's favour

Christmas day flights/Aberdeen
Are there flights this year to/from CWL on Christmas day?
Any airlines showing interest on ABZ yet? It seems the most popular on the survey recently.
Coud ABZ/EDI/CWL be feasible, say on a mon/fri?

Terminal development
The MD has said that the departures and arrivals will be joined with a new modification of the building. Looks like the security entrance to the departure lounge will also be relocated. Just need some passengers to use it and we`re laughing

It looks as if the KL1065/66 is operating Christmas day, flights are available to book on the website.
It is the first time in at leats 3 years i have seen KLM operate a flight on Christmas Day.
I'm not sure of this year but usually Thomson operate flights on Christmas day also.
I'm not sure if ABZ/EDI/CWL would work, With a transit flight they would require a decent load on each sector or a high level of passengers transiting onwards. How about ABZ / CWL / CDG? They started the CDG on the BHD now it's the GLA. It would be very interesting to see what Flybe has in store.
Many things to consider at the moment such as:- downturn in the economy, Possible base, Lufthansa's plans for BmiBaby.
I could imagine that Flybe are looking at the latter with great interest.
Do you have anymore information regarding this? Do you mean departures / arrivals to be joined as in all upstairs to be classed as departures? Any news on when work will start / completed?

Its the arrivals hall being linked with the check-in hall i believe. And possibly some commercial space within. I could think of better things to spend money on! But at least its progress.
I think the short stay is being redesigned, probably to better handle pickups since the restrictions at the front of the terminal. Short stay currently relocated to the eastern Long Stay.

I thought they may have progressed with the building of the multi-storey car park as it would be the best time (minimise effects on public)
What effect would this have on the moving of security as stated by Pipertommy? If there was mention of the re-location of security then only reason for this i see is for all of upstairs to become airside. More retail space available with the closure of 1 x WHSmith and 1 x Amusements. It is daft how the 2 best selections of food are all located landside. Means passengers will go through security at the latest point due to limited facilities airside.

Not totally sure on the actual plans. No official release of the plans have been made as far as I know ! I believe this modification will improve the movement of people collecting friends ect between shops/eating areas as the arrivals hall is very boring area to wait with little opportunity to get people spending hard cash!!!

NCP...
I see the guys from NCP are at long last actively sorting out the pax using the carparks instead of ICTS on an unmarked and unlit traffic island.... but why are they having to stop all of the traffic creating another bottleneck ? Go to BHX, BRS and if the pax can't be bothered to observe the traffic signs they find themselves on the road back out - no reversing and causing more backlogs - the signage is prominent enough. Stopping all the taxis, buses, tech guys (Tech 1 has been seen a few times for instance) every time they go into the airport is creating enough hassle now... training needed along with an identifiable, lit, stop/go system... anyone else affected ? Has there ever been an initiative for CWL management to consult with people who actually see all this crap on a day to day basis ?

Hi all. Just to report the local press up here is suggesting expansion by flybe, with CWL touted as one of the routes to be commenced. Gives no start date though.
