Gate to gate it's about 1 hour or 1 hour 5 mins, depending upon the time of day.
I'm a frequent user of the service and find it's pretty reliable and rarely late. You certainly don't get the hold-ups you experience when landing at LHR. At LGW it's usually straight in.

BA Site not taking debit card payments
Seems the BA.com site is only accepting credit card payments today. Is this a new policy or a balls up?

Debit Cards Not Accepted
https://ukprepin.custhelp.com/cgi-bi...ted=1270046717
If you are trying to make a booking using a credit card you can process your booking as normal.
If you want to make your payment using a debit card we cannot accept payment and would ask you to either pay by credit card or try again later when the problem has been resolved.

Hello,
after the summer schedule has been introduced it seems that only these destinations are served by Eurofleet 767?
DME, FCO, CDG, FRA, ARN, Larnaca, Athens, Istanbul.
What about NCE, MXP, BUD?
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

More bad news from India....
Basically I got a very poor response parroting what I had already told them, proving that they didn't pay much attetion to my complaint. Basically they still haven't worked out how to accept UK Debit card payments yet. It's over a week now. Final 3 Greens might have a point!
Dear Mr Farrell
I am sorry for the earlier response sent to you.
Currently, there are payment issues with the UK debit cards, which are likely to take a few days to resolve. The Payment made by credit cards is being accepted but payment by UK debit is not possible.
I hope this is the information you require.

At least they aren't as bad as Globespan's payment processing firm...

True, but customer services didn't even understand the point. I told them their own website wasn't accepting UK Debit cards and they replied with :
That I already knew and made them look like numpties. I do hope someone at BA reads this.

Dear Mr Farrell
Thank you for your query regarding payment using UK debit card.
Customers are allowed to pay with a Switch/Maestro, Solo, Visa /Delta debit card, issued by a UK bank and billed to a UK address.
It is also possible to book offline through Telephone Sales and airport ticket desks, using the payment cards mentioned above, although, with the exception of airports, the payment card must be issued and billed to an address in the country of departure.
When entering your card number, please do not put any spaces between the sets of numbers, otherwise the system will reject the payment.
If you still have problems booking your flights online, please contact our local sales office. Their telephone numbers can be found on ba.com:

15 flights still en-route to LHR!
Just reported on BBC News who say they've been told by BA that 15 flights currently heading for LHR maybe able to land there tonight. Reporter stated that BA are currently negotiating with NATS to get permission for them to land. Would be a big win for BA if they succeed!!

If BA land at LHR then NATS need shooting. If there is a no fly rule due safety considerations then it CAN NOT be relaxed due to pressure from BA. If they land then the whole thing has been one big farce and heads need to be placed on a spike and put outside the terminals at LHR, LGW etc.

It's very doubtful that BA will actually land anything at either London airport tonight despite both their best efforts & those of the media like Sky News!! NATS have no option but to stand their ground.
So far the BA website showing plans for 2 diverts to BRU, 1 to SNN, 1 to NCE & 1 to ATH.
Just added diverts : 1 to BCN & 1 to CDG.

Why choose those locations
I'm puzzled - why do we choose mainland Europe airports when NCL, EDI etc. are open - it'd be much easier to coach from there than face the channel crossing?
