Racedo, get real.

Lets take HSBC Tower in London for example - world's biggest company according to Forbes so will have big offices at both destinations.

It is true to say that the LHR outbound flight is actually quicker than the LCY inc. transit (all three airports are contraint on slots so probably shorter than timetabled). Yet as Carnage said, it has a superior service, more of a personal service plus the extremely quick time on the ground at LCY and JFK. It really is a better product.

Plus...the return flight kicks the arse of an LHR flight

Most people are saying 'never go to LHR it's cr*p, yet now they want them to go there!

1-2 hours to refuel an A318 and clear a mere 32 pax through US immigrations - you're having a laugh!
That is the time you will lose V a direct flight from LHR.

It will not be done in less than an hour and taking average 1-2 hours is not unreasonable.

MUFC

There are elements that will appeal BUT you assume that people will necessarily want to get back into LCY and then go home from there, I'd suggest probably not.

Its the assumption people will stay in office until just before flight and then race back in after flight.........think human body will disuade many people of that idea after a very short term.

I think service is 3-4 years too late.

Exactly - that is the whole point

BA are marketing it as being able to work one day in NYC then pop on a plane, sleep and get straight into work in central London, not Heathrow

OK, but if I were a potential passenger contemplating just that, you know what would dissuade me? The lack of arrivals facilities including showers. The idea of getting off an overnight flight and going straight to the office is not an appealing one - I'd choose LHR just for the shower. Oh, sure, maybe my office has showers. Maybe there's a health club nearby I could use. But that adds to the hassle.

Pretty much all large banks in London have a few showers somewhere in their main building. Furthermore, the facilities management team in the building will often reserve a shower if somebody senior sends an email in advance.

There will be a small arrivals club lounge that will have this facility with an attendant. We did try this once before at LHR with a lady to press your suit while you showered and shaved. It turned out she was also offering additional services to start the day.

Tea, coffee, cornflakes, orange juice, pain au chocolat ? Is that the kind of thing you mean ?

Did BA consider operating it into La Guardia considering the International side of things has been dealt with at SNN? Something in the recesses of my mind about flights out of LGA to destinations greater than a certain distance are banned?

BA chop and change the Gibraltar service back and forward from LHR and LGW.

However having a quick search for November sees the fare showing at 160 pound each way - surely an error or has the Walsh Crowd just simply lost the plot and dont want to carry any pax anymore on this route....

EasyJet thanks for the service you provide to Gatwick - and in most cases the prices that go along with it. Still wish GB Airways were flying though.......

I've searched this thread but could not find the answer to this.

WT+ on the 744:
Are there laptop power points?
If so - of what kind?

Thanks.

Sales over 400% of target, I hear; and already overbooked on quite a number of days.

I look forward to more award availability from LHR. (Not that JFK is a bad route for that anyway because of its dynamics.)

Not that I've tried to book an award ticket, but I was under the impression that LHR-JFK/EWR (and v.v.) was awash with unsold Club World seats.........
