It was only a matter of time, the route seems to be one of the NCL success stories on the scheduled front!

Good news...am still surprised NCL-CPH hasn't gone double daily as it appears to have good loads.

how long before NCL to LGW is dropped? August loads were 33% and overall the loads havent gone over 45%...

and that is also after cancelling some August weekend flying... it could have been a lot worse!!!

Although the new double daily plus Sat flights are not in the LH site timetable section you can access them on the booking engine.

Thats great progress lets see what Cimber does with CPH for summer 08

ATC shortages

After all the bad press about DTVA being short staffed, I hear Newcastle may have the same problem. I hear that they regularly have no assistant on in radar due to shortages, and because of the long term staff sicknesses ATCOs are thin on the ground-not going to get any easier either with the pending departure of one more to another unit!

Anyone know when Jet2 is likely to make an announcement about s08 flights? I'd imagine it's imminent with EDI being announced?

nclairportfan - Jet2 announcement was expected this week, believe the delay is due to the ongoing 767 sourcing problem as no1 in the fleet is rumoured for ncl to start Jet2 long haul experiment. Hope they don't make a hash of it as Flyglobespan have done

Announcement shouldn't be too far away now.

Fingers crossed.

Jet 2 2008

Dont see why they could not put short haul routes on sale like has been done for all the other bases. Hope there not going to do an Easyjet!.( NCL last to be released )

Unfortunatley LGW not performing to good, even if went 2x daily not enough people using it to give decent load factors. Wonder if it will last.

fl dutchman - the reason been for the delay in Jet2 summer schedules from NCL is that as things stand is if NCL get the 1st 767 (for EWR, SFB, YHM) then we loose one of our based 757s next summer and ultimately a couple of short haul routes. The 767 deal should have been completed but hasn't.

I don't think, but could be wrong, they are goind to do a EZY as they are in the process of recruting loads of cabin crew and flight deck crew for SO8 at NCL. Based on this evidence they would not be going to increase the crew base at NCL if the aircraft aint going to be their to put them in.

Hope my logic makes sense, basically lets not panic YET

Flew the LGW route this week.

No complaint on services, even if the Red Eye is a little earlier than ideal.
Crew and service just fine.

The one hitch - the farce on arrival at LGW, getting photo taken for walk throught the terminal - standing in a queue, in the open air waiting to get into the terminal. Coming North, the South Terminal is worse than the North; hot, sticky and overcrowded.

Loads were OK but who knows what the yields were like.

..and, NO complaints about security at either end. Took less than 5 minutes leaving NCL and not much over 5 mins at LGW - I may have just struck lucky at both ends but credit where credit due.

JET 2

Can you please tell me what do they base at NCL this summer ?? and could they not release seats on whatever will be there minus 1 x 757 for now ie short haul, then have a big pr campaign for long haul if it comes off. The single destination of Murcia looks a bit lonely in the NCL section of there summer route list, when compared to other bases.

i dont think jet2 will go on sale until least another 6 weeks.
THey wont want to give easyjet a look at what they have planned.

If they go on sale now easyjet have plenty of time to amend there planned programme before it goes on sale if they wait then they will have less time to change things

i could be wrong but this is what i think.

jet2 dont have easyjet at LBA or MAN the closest they have is MAN with baby and ZB

TCX / MYT S08 Update

Mytravel website flights have now been updated.
All flights now shown as airline TCX but same times as what MYT were going to use so looks like TCX is going to be 3 aircraft based for summer 2008
and not the rumoured 2 based
